“VERY IMPRESSED...PERFECT LOCATION...GREAT STAFF”
The Location is Excellent...right on Cannery Row next to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I booked two rooms and asked if they cvould make them adjoining and also if they would make a special welcome treat on arrival for one of the rooms to celebrate a birthday. All was done and ready when we checked in about 5PM. Check in was fast (5 minutes) and the rooms were spacious and clean. The decor of the hotel and rooms is very modern, clean crisp, and european. The valet were fast when calling for our car and the bell men were very attentive to our needs. I would highly recommend.

the business center only has one computer, so there is a lot of waiting at certain times. Otherwise, it's a lovely place with great service.

Was very happy with this location. The beds were amazingly comfy and it's just a hop skip and a jump from the aquarium and walking paths.
“Outstanding hotel in touristy area”
The Clement has only been opened a few months and it's pristine. Very clean and ultra-modern. The rooms are large and ours had a fireplace. The bed is comfortable and the flat panel TV was a plus. Gorgeous bathroom with separate tub and shower, robes and nice amenities. It's most definitely the nicest hotel in the Monterey area, the other hotels are older and shabbier. In a way it stands out a little like a sore thumb, because in fact, Monterey itself is a bit rundown. The only strike against the Clement is the food is just fair. But then again, don't expect fine dining anywhere in the Cannery Row/Fisherman's Wharf area. Overall the Clement is five stars and was slightly cheaper than the other hotels in the area.
“Loved The Clement hotel!”
The Clement in Monterey is a haven of peace and comfort in the middle of Cannery Row. They have a wonderful outdoor patio in back that faces the ocean. The staff are friendly and helpful and the whole facility is beautifully done.
“Great Place, very modern bathrooms!”
Great location! Pretty new. It's great if you want to visit the Aquarium - right next door -, Ocean right up front. Great restaurants, such as the "Sardine Factory", or the Family restaurant - Bubba Gum, and a lot of others, and shops are all in walking distance. Our room had a fireplace and was great to look at but the room got too hot and we couldn't adjust well afterwards. Room was clean and near the second floor heated pool. I would recommend this hotel.. Parking can be tricky.
“Exceptional Hotel!”
We were so pleased with this hotel. It was the fifth of six hotels on a two-week trip in California. This was by far the best hotel. Service was superb. The room was quiet, clean, and everything we could have hoped for. And it was in the middle of downtown Monterey, with beautiful views, great restaurants and shopping, and a wonderful walking/biking trail just a block or so away. If/when we return to Monterey, this is the place we would stay.
“Can't Wait to Go Back”
The firepits outside and the lobby are gorgeous places to relax and have a nice cocktail at night. The staff was extremely nice and professional, easily one of the cleanest and nicest hotels we've stayed in for quite some time. We travel a lot and are pretty hard on hotels, but we honestly couldn't find a thing about this place we didn't like. Perfect location for a few days in Monterey and the aquarium. It's really a great property.
“We really enjoyed our stay.”
Everyone was extremely helpful. The hotel was clean and quiet. We had a great stay. They even let us have a late checkout so we could give the baby a nap. It is so close to the Aquarium and all the great restraurants.
