“At last a Moscow trying”
There are still issues - wireless charging for the room although free in lobby and I piggy backed on some other free provider from my room but... The room was excellent the included breakfast really worth eating and the position superb. I'll be back!
“Definitely would stay here again”
Good central location.. wish internet service were cheaper or included.
“Highly recommended; good location”
Very pleasant hotel, pleasant staff, helpful and polite. Not cheap, but we stayed for 4 nights, including 3 nights at the weekend when rates are considerably reduced (Don't know it this is normal, or just a temporary thing) Good sized room, very comfortable, with nice bathroom, with a good sized bath, and nice hot shower. Good choice at breakfast, and restaurant is pleasant, and not too expensive, considering the location and 5 stars of the hotel. Well located for all city centre landmarks; close to many theatres, and only 10 mins walk from the Kremlin. Concierge service can supply tickets at reasonable cost for theatres etc, and were very helpful, with this and the luggage. The lobby bar is of good size, with piano in the evenings, and an adequate choice of snacks. We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would go again.
“Well placed hotel”
The hotel was well appointed and very comfortable. The staff were helpful, the room spacious and well furnished with a very good bathroom with lots of quality products for use. Breakfast was lavish and the business lunch good value and good quality. There is a business centre where you can access computers with joint Cyrillic or British keyboards and the internet. Free newspapers in English or in Russian are available in the foyer. The upper floors are very safe. You have to use your room keycard to activate the lift! We were very close to the Bolshoi theatre and within walking distance of Red Square, the Kremlin and the main shopping street. There were many fine squares and fountains. Moscow is very clean and one feels much safer than in many big cities such as Paris or Madrid. Warning. PRODUCTS FROM THE BAR (even including a cup of tea) are VERY EXPENSIVE.
“Very good hotel close to red square, good english spoken good level of service”
Very good hotel maybe not quite 5 star but not far off, the service was first rate and the staff very attentive room service very good and the resteraut food excellent, not cheap but that's Moscow for you.
“Can't wait to go back”
I liked it. The service, the comfort, the cleanliness, and the location... it was definitely above average. The breakfasts that where included was really important future for me.
“Moscow gem!”
Lovely, extremely well managed business class hotel. Bargain rates. Rooms are fairly large by European standards. Located in the upscale Petrovka quarter. Very close (a pleasant 10-15 minute stroll) to Red Square, Kremlin, and Tverskaya Street.
“Conveniently located, good quality, reasonable pricing”
Conveniently located, good quality, reasonable pricing
“Fine hotel near city center”
Although the PETER THE FIRST is a little pricey during the week, it's still a bargain in downtown Moscow -- clean, quiet, comfortable, secure, and within easy walking distance to just about everything. The breakfast buffet is fantastic, and some of the other amenities (pool, business center) are pleasant and easy to use. A gem.
“quality hotel in central moscow”
I usually treat stand-alone (that are not part of a chain) hotels with suspicion and probably for a good reason. Peter the 1st, however, was a very pleasant surprise. In short it doesn't probably qualify to be called 5 star hotel, it's a good 4 star one. However, location and good service justify the difference. Staff is well trained, friendly and helpful. Business travellers may find things like 24h availability of pressing (ironing) service a significant plus, which often is not the case in many business level network hotels. I personally don't like do such things myself :) I remember only one inconvenience: you have to purchase a prepaid card at the reception to access internet, and cards are different depending on your connection option (wifi/wired lan). However, you can request the card to be delivered to your room. To summarize, a very good 4 star hotel at a 5 star location for a reasonble (compared to other Moscow hotels) price.
