“Nice and Clean”
This hotel was very nice and clean, even though it is older. Service was wonderful, and the staff was very helpful.
“Great Place to stay just watch out for rent a cop”
This room was awesome. the pool was out at the time but we didnt have a use for it. The staff was friendly and very accomondating and helped us find great food in the local area. The only drawback was the security guard roaming the hallways and demanding for us to present a keycard. One of my guests was escorted outside by the guy because he didn't have a keycard when he went down the hall 20 feet to buy a pop from the vending machine.
“Might be a good hotel someday”
During my stay in August 2008 the hotel was being renovated. What this means is that upon arriving at 3 on a Friday the hotel parking lot was empty and the hotel looked to be "closed for repairs" with some of the lobby windows blocked out with plastic. Staying in a partially occupied hotel gave me an odd feeling. The staff did their best to work through minor technical problems due to not being fully functional. The hotel will probably be a good hotel when it is finished in the spring of 2009 as the room for the continental breakfast is clean and ample and the bedrooms are also large and tidy and all of the employees were friendly. The indoor pool and hot tub were small but the room was charmingly decorated. The breakfast was standard. As for now, the hotel is one of the cheaper I found in Muskegon and I got what I paid for. As I am one who likes to save money, short of being cheap, I found my stay pleasant.
“under construction”
We have stayed here in the past, a couple of summers ago, when it was called "Quality Inn & Suites" and at that time, my husband and I had a Jacuzzi Suite. I remember the place being nothing special, but very clean which is fine for us. This time around, they have been working on extensive renovations, and the room we stayed in was a double room to share with my sister and her husband. We found it clean and plenty comfortable. I found the beds to be a little firm, but I do not mind that. The pool was small, but there were hardly any guests so it was empty and we liked that. The hot tub was small too, but it was nice. All too often they are too hot but this one was perfect. The breakfast room was cute and very clean although we did not eat there. The staff were very nice upon our arrival and offered us fresh coffee and cookies at 11pm at night! All in all it was not glamorous, but I would stay there again for the value.
“Nice Stay”
Nice hotel no issues found
“Room was clean and comfortable”
The room itself was clean and comfortable. Nothing special. The hallways were kind of dingy, but we weren't sleeping in the hallways! My only complaints were that the remote for the TV had no batteries and there was only one ice maker in the whole place. I asked for more ice and batteries, but neither was ever delivered.
“Hotel need work”
The hotel need more work, New owner need to improve the look of the rooms and the overall appearance of the hotel, Ok to stay but still need alot of work.
“overall great value”
priced nicely. clean rooms. clean pool area but a man was smoking in it. decent continental breakfast. staff was friendly. location of hotel was unsightly.
“Red Roof Inn”
Hotel is under new management and they are ungrading the facility and retraining the staff. They started the upgrade with the rooms and our was very nice. Staff that we dealt with were very professional and knowledgeable. We had read bad reviews, but it was the only motel close to where we wanted to be. We were very pleasantly surprised.
“good for a couple of nights”
Hotel was under construction and didnt look so great from the outside but at least our room was newly remodeled. Hotel staff was very nice to assist you anyway they could. They even let us use the housekeeping dryers after we got our clothes wet at the water park.
