“awesome”
there were a few holes in the walls but overall it was great. the room was very clean and very comfortable. i will most definatley go back. the pools were warm and the porch was nice.

The El Dorado is being renovated and the rooms that are done are realy nice. The indoor pool and hot tub were clean. The motel is across the street from the beach, so very easy access! While it is on Ocean Blvd amongst other motels, it is in a quiet area and not walking distance to restaurants and shopping. We took our dog, so we got a rm that had not been renovated yet. It was comfortable (nice beds, table and chairs, couch) and we had a kitchen (microwave,new full size fridge, and old but adequate stove/oven). free WIFI available upon request.
“Nice Clean Room, Close to beach!”
If you are look for a fancy place, this isn't it, but if you are looking for a clean place with very nice helpful staff to assist your stay this is the place. This is just as good and better than some of the 3 or 3.5 star places we have stayed in. The kitchen is stocked with some plates and pans and is clean. The beach is just across the street. And it is Close to The Jasmine Supper Club-a must see!

“Great hotel in transition”
We went to the El Dorado in the off season and had a great time. Please keep in mind that this hotel was purchased from a former owner who let it go downhill. The current owner is making much needed upgrades. The rooms were nice and spacious, far beyond expectations for what we paid. We had two large queen size beds, a couch, the typical hotel bathroom, and a full kitchen with the following: oven/stove, microwave, full size refrigerator, sink, counter top, silverware and pots and pans. The air conditioner above the refrigerator was fairly effective. The WiFi connection worked fine. The most unusual thing about the room is that there are no clocks anywhere. We kept our cell phones with us, so this wasn't too big of a deal, but it was strange. The room could do with some better ventilation. The room was kind of musty smelling. We always carry air fresheners with us, and that resolved the issue. Additionally, the comforters had seen the end of their days and need replaced, along with the other room furniture. Finally, the shower head was a little too low for me (I'm over six feet tall), so it was a little awkward taking a shower at times. I see a lot of promise in this hotel and believe once the family works on updating some things in the room, it will be even better. Overall, I would recommend this hotel as a great cost saver if you can deal with a few inconveniences, it's a great way to save your money for what it was intended to be used for - having fun in Myrtle Beach!

This hotel was nice because it was just across gthe street from the beach and the employmees there were very nice and helpful, the room was better than average but not great but it was a good price too.-----:)
“Great for College Students or folks on a budget”
The room was worn but clean. We felt safe in the neighborhood. The hotel was close to everything we wanted to do. It was quiet at night so sleeping was good. We could walk to the beach. I'd use it again.

Overall; the reception/owners are good people, easy to talk to and willing to accomodate and assist. Staff was nice and service prompt each day. The 2 pools are nice, we used the outside one. Good parking, and no need to move your car, the hotel is a very short walk to the sand and beach. Our room had 2 large beds (family of 4), air conditioning, cable TV, bathroom and a small kitchen with stove and full fridge.This is a great family hotel at reasonable rates. He toured the area during our time in Myrtle and the hotel location is excellent. We will return.
