“Quiet, relaxing in a great location.”
Close to beach and 5th avenue restaurants - perfect walking location. Simple, quiet and intimate setting.
“Lovely small hotel in Naples”
The Escalante was charming, convenient to downtown, extremely comfortable and very clean. Be sure to ask for the suite rather than just a room because there was little sitting room otherwise. The suites are large with a very comfortable sitting area that will accomodate friends who drop in for drinks before dinner at a downtown restaurant (there are many within a block of the hotel). I missed having a little refrigerator, but that was a small thing. We had a lovely walled outdoor patio outside our French doors. Will go back next time we're in Naples.
“comfortable,quaint,relaxing...Will go back”
Great service, friendly, clean and pretty. We would return anytime.
“Great Romantic getaway! Can't wait to go back!!”
Perfect Place for a nice Romantic getaway - the grounds are beautifully landscaped and you can walk to downtown Naples and the beach! This is a nice hidden gem in Naples! We will be back.
“Very quaint and loved staying here!”
I loved this hotel, because it is quaint and has that old Meditarrean-style feel from maybe the 50's. I had a standard king-bed room and it was very roomy. A lot bigger than you get in larger hotels. There was plenty of room to move around with a sitting area. You can also walk right out to the pool and there was a dining table right outside your door, if you want to eat there. I ate breakfast out there every day, and the server became acquainted with your tastes. One day she noticed my daughter only at the strawberries, so she brought her a plate of strawberries the next morning. The continental breakfast consisted of just breads, fruit and juice or coffee. The bathroom in the room was spacious and there was a separate shower room. The shower was large and had a large "rain" shower head. Loved it! The only little downside was the TV is a bit small - since flatscreen is all the rage now. And the air conditioner control was not turned on when I arrived. I was originally concerned that it wasn't cool enough, but I moved the control up and "wa-la". The control is old and hard to read as well - my only complaint. The hotel is about a 5 min. walk to the beach - wonderful! And literally around the corner from shopping and eating. Very nice places to dine! For kids...there was a Subway on 5th as well and plenty of places for delicious ice cream or gelato!!! I highly recommend staying here!
“Summertime Paradise!”
This charming hotel, in the heart of Old Naples, could not be more perfect for a quiet bit of relaxation. Its ten rooms surrounded by beautiful Florida floral and fauna give it a very intimate feel. We thoroughly enjoyed the extra space of having a well-appointed living room separated from the bedroom .. and the shower pressure was fabulous!
“Excellent.. exceeds expectations”
Tucked away just off from the beach is a real little gem. I grew up in Naples and NEVER knew this place existed. The hotel reminds you of a small 5 star hotel in Spain. Worth every penny!
“Hotel Esclante”
I was happy with the hotel, the proximity to the beach, restaurants and stores.
“Uniquely Charming”
At checkout, they presented me with a bill for the rooms and I had to remind them that the rooms were prepaid. They checked their records and then cancelled out the bill. The place is beautiful and the landscaping is exceptional. Also a great location.
“One and only one time...”
The reception was simply a disaster, I already mentioned the check-in but the check-out was a "farce". The same lady called us in the room at 11:55AM to remind us that the room had to be freed at 12:00... I asked her if it was a joke as the hotel was empty. But fortunately for us, when she called I was putting the luggages in the car on the driveway in front of the reception. On top of that, the room was not clean, and there was a dirty food Tupperware in the drawer of a night table!!!! The worst was the breakfast. We ask for croissants and the waitress brought us only ONE croissant asking us if it was enough or if we needed one each. I thought I was dreaming or still not awake. SO,a bad experience that we will forget very soon.
