“Loved New Orleans”
We were very pleased with hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was within walking distance of everything. This was our first trip to new Orleans and we loved it.
“enjoyable stay in NO”
Excellent two day stay. Centrally located in NO, and offers quick access to downtown amenities. Room clean, and breakfast excellent. Good choice of food
“Loved it”
Great hotel-walking distance to everything!! Loved the daily breakfast!
“Good and not so good items”
The breakfast buffet was great - a large variety of food and it was primptly restocked with it ran low. Valet parking was all that was available and it was too expensive - $30/day Bed had lumpy comforters and they were too warm.
“Jazz Fest Stay”
This was a great hotel & our experience was fantastic! One of the front desk staff, who was born and raised in NOLA, gave us great tips on how to get around the city, where to go for music and shopping and lots of other little tips. He even drew us maps & wrote the trolley & bus line numbers for us. The breakfast was excellent for a buffet, with a nice selection of hot items as well as the usual cereals, yogurts and bread products. I loved the decor of the lobbies & entrance, it is very unusual for a chain hotel to have such charm. Our room was in the new section of the hotel & had a nice view of the park across the street & was more than adequate for what we paid for it. The beds were very comfortable, everything was spotless & we were completely satisfied. The walk to the French Quarter took about 15-20 minutes & was fairly easy. Iif we didn't want to walk we just went 3 blocks to the trolley & took that to either Canal Street or Jackson Square. A little surprise which we didn't know about until our 3rd day was that the hotel uses the shuttle services of Miss Crystal, a local woman with her own shuttle. She took us to & from the jazz fest on Sunday for $10 round trip....definitely worth the price! She then took us to the airport early Tues. for $15 each, which was less than the price of a cab. The only reason the staff didn't get a 5 is that the attitudes of the 2 bartenders could have been a little friendlier. But all in all, the staff was great & friendly!
“Very enjoyable stay, Staff most helpfull. We had a ball.”
We enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn, would stay there again if ever returned to New Orleans.
“Lovely hotel”
We had a wonderful stay here. The hotel is an old converted cotton mill with lots of character and atmosphere, but it was also very clean and modern. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing we didn't care for was the $30 a night charge for valet parking. But as there didn't seem to be anything cheaper nearby, we paid it. Other than that, we had no complaints and would definitely stay here again.
“Great hotel with good historical ambience. Parking Expensive”
We were very happy with this hotel. It is a converted old warehouse with very high celings and exposed brick walls. Very unique and comfortable. The staff we encountered were helpful and available. The lobby and common areas are very large and comfy. Our room also had very high celings and was big and roomy with a large updated bathroom. Very updated throughout. The breakfast was fantastic and had hot offerings like spanish omelets, meats, etc. along with waffles and the typical continental breakfast items. As in most big cities, the parking was rather expensive. But it's in a good location if you are in the convention center area. Nice, safe walking to several restaurants, museums, and galleries. It's fairly close to the french quarter, but it is a bit of a walk. It is NOT a french quarter hotel. It is very near the World War II museum also. It was actually a unique hotel, just like the unique city of New Orleans.
“Hampton Inn And Suites New Orleans Convention Center”
Excellent location!.. impressive good price!, fantastic Gym and friendly personal!
“Old World Charm New Orleans Hotel”
Loved this place. It was gorgeous! The double beds seemed a little small but the room was beautiful! It had southern charm and first hotel that the bathrrom had a real bathrug and not just a towel. The hostess that worked the waffles and stocked the buffet was super sweet and a hard worker. Will stay here next time in New Orleans. All of the staff was nice and helpful.
