Our stay was okay. I expect the bare minimum to be met. Cleaning rooms daily and fresh towels but at this property it seems you have to ask for this service. Also when you ask for housecleaning you may have to let front desk know or else it may not get done. Pro Tips: Park in the garage behind the hotel for $40 overnight parking which is cheaper than valet parking. Also this property is good for dogs since there is a big park across the street for walking and a Starbucks across the street for pup cups. The conveniences of this property is a plus since the St Charles Street Car runs in front of the hotel.

Avoid this hotel! I had to change rooms bcs my key card did not work; the bathroom door had a gash in it; stains on the carpet. Disgusting! In the next room, there was no hot water, no washcloths and the windows had a plastic film on them so you could not see out and was peeling. There is a musty smell in the hallways, which tells me there is mildew in the carpets. Not sure. But it was gross. When I returned to the hotel after dinner, a huge rat scurried out from a dumpster at the side of the hotel restaurant. Do not book this hotel, no matter how appealing the low rate is. Better to pay a little more for comfort, cleanliness and peace of mind.

Amazing hotel. For the price, you can't beat it's location and amenities. Attached cafe and walking distance to all major attractions. Basic rooms aren't top tier but definitely adequate, and any upgraded corner view room is very nice.

When we checked in I asked if there was parking nearby. The lady at the desk said you will just have to look around for parking spots. I was not told there was a lot nearby by her but by a guest in the elevator. This is after I paid $56 per night for Valet. The guest in the elevator said she told him it was $40 for Valet. That cut $112 out of my already tight budget! Then when we got in our room there was no toilet paper at all! It was very hot in the hotel but our room temp was comfortable. I won’t stay here again.

The fact that the dachsunds were able to come with us. Of course, we had to find someone to keep them during the day when we went to the jazz festival, but the fact that they could spend the night with us was great. We love that the coffee shop is next-door and Cafe Beignet is a short walk. There are lots of dining options. The common area downstairs has a great view during the day. Everything was quiet and the price was great. We would stay here again for sure. There were a few odd objects under the bed like cheap necklaces, and guitar picks. We found them when leaving trying to check to make sure nothing rolled under the bed. I imagine the vacuum just doesn’t get down there. Everything was clean though. Our view was great.

The towels were hard and scratchy. The wash clothes couldn't hold any soap because they were so cheap. There was a leak in the ceiling from the AC. Maintenance came to fix it late at night while I was in bed, scary. My safe never got opened. The hotel is bare bones.
