“50th birthday celebration in the big easy”
My wife and I stayed there celebrating her 50th birthday. We loved the hotel, the location, the staff. Would not hesitate to stay there again. So easy to walk to all spots in the french quarter. Linens and towels very good. Coffee shop/breakfast little pricey.
“Mardi Gras Central”
Excellent location in the French Quarter and forparticipating in the Mardi Gras festivities, There were lots of great restaurants and bars nearby on Bourbon Street, and the concierge had lots of excellent suggestions and was able to get us good reservations and event tickets
“Wonderful stay at a beautiful hotel and staff!”
Everyone at the hotel starting from the attendants who parked the car to the bellhops on the elevators to the front desk were so friendly and helpful. I have to say I have not seen a group of people that enjoy their job more. Everyone was just so happy and smiling and just glad to be there and be of service to you. Great, excellent experience.
“Wild week on Bourbon Street”
Very nice & clean hotel.Super nice staff! Resturants, bars Jazz Music was great!
“Lovely Hotel”
Very clean. Lovely ambiance. Great location. The staff in the front desk were a bit dry; perhaps not used to foreigners with an accent. The air conditioner had a slight rattle if left on high. The tv remote was temperamental. MSNBC had terrible reception.
“Pefect location”
The hotel was great and the staff was extremely accommodating while also being efficient. We were definitely pleased. The only "wish" on our list was that there was in-room coffee, a mini-fridge (for drinks, left-overs from meals, etc.) and even a microwave. I assume none of those were available because of the atmosphere of the location and to encourage tourist trade. We would definitely return, however, because the location could not have been better.
“The Royal Sonesta is truly Royal”
The entire staff were excellent. I will stay again someday
“We would stay again”
Loved the location. The builtin jazz club. Besutiful pool. Desire good eats
“Best Service”
We always stay at the Royal Sonesta when we visit New Orleans. We stayed somewhere else only once and learned our lesson. If you love being spoiled & pampered, this is the place to stay. Plus, it's right in the heart of the Quarter. Everything is right at your fingertips. This place is our favorite because of the excellent service & friendliness of the staff. You will never meet a rude person at the Sonesta.
“Second time there but not the last”
From the time you pull into the parking garage you know you are at a place where you are important. From the parking valet to the bell man, through regestration, house keeping and the door men all of the hotel staff were friendly, helpful and courtious. From I-10, access and exit from the hotel is a piece of cake. The hotel is centrally located in the French Quarter and is within walking distance of Jackson Square, The French Market, The ' City of The Dead' and many fine shops and restaurants. This is a non smoking hotel so I would advise getting a balcony room if you smoke. The rooms overlooking Bourbon and Conti streets can be a little noisey so consider a courtyard room. In my opinion, while in New Orleans, this is the place to stay.
