“Priced right!”
We had a good deal for a 3 day stay. I think the quality of accomodation, was in line with the pricing. We had a generous living and dining area. If you intend to cook, I would recommend to bring your own pots, as the ones provided were worn. There are plenty of restaurants in the area, Publix and Walmart for grocery shopping. Good place to stay, especially if you will spend all day at parks anyways.
“ideal location”
Although only one star this hotel is clean and equipped with a kitchen on each floor and enough rest rooms to avoid any queing or embarassing clashes in the hallway. Its situated just a few blocks away from Macy's and the Empire State Building close to the shops and Bryant park.
“A room with a view of the garment district”
4 blocks north of the Empire State Building, with a Crunch gym AND a NYSC less then a block west on the same street! I never had to wait to share the bathroom, and the maid was very thorough with her cleaning. Tip well. The only comment I would make is that they put me in a smoking room, but I asked for non-smoking. Still, it was a New York City experience.
“Excellent Service and Location, Can't wait to go back”
This was probably the best holiday I have ever been to. The flights were on time, no delays. Had connect flights but luggage got sent straight to final destination which was really helpful. The hotel was basic with shared bathrooms. However rooms were cleaned daily, bathrooms were always clean. Staff were friendly always happy to help with any problem you may have. Location of the hotel is really central, 4-5 blocks from macy's and Empire state building and 3-4 blocks from times square. You are really getting a bagain with this hotel as you only need to sleep there as there is so much to do in new york. I highly reccomend this hotel for people on a budget or people who just want to be central for a reasonable price. I will definitely be returning an looking forward to how the redevelopment of the hotel turns out
“I'd stay there again!”
The room was very clean. Although we thought we would have our own private bath and did not, the shared bath rooms were very clean as well. We did have a small sink in our room. We did not even run into any other guest while traveling to the bathrooms. The AC worked beautifully on the hot June night and we rested peacefully. We would definitely recommend The Americana.
“Clean Warm Bed- Great location. Good for Young Travelers”
I went to clubs and concerts at night and museums all day so I was pleased with this hotel. It was very clean, smelled good and was very warm as it was freezing outside. I'm 25 years old and don't believe in spending a lot of money on a hotel as when you travel, you are supposed to be out Traveling and experiencing your destination so this was ideal for me. This is not a luxury hotel but is clean and safe. Location- Excellent. They also let me check in at 1pm and there was bag storage for when I checked out and spent the entire day.
“cheap, clean, central, great hotel!!!”
It was an unexpected great stay! after the reviews I read, I didn't expect much, but the hotel was a great experience! I will go there again on my next NYC stay!
“Economy Right Near Times Square”
The Hotel Americana is a great place to stay in Midtown Manhattan. Just a few blocks from Broadway theaters and Times Square, this hotel offers great rates, a friendly, helpful staff and clean comfortable rooms. Perfect for tthe single traveler. Shared baths are not an inconvenience. There are plenty on each floor and very clean. I plan to stay there on all my future visits to New York.
“Excellent Service. Thanks!”
The front desk agent was so nice, A+. Thanks for being so nice and help us with our suitcase and with the chek-in process!
“it was fine for the price”
I was pleased with the location and the price.
