“Great NYC Location”
The staff was very friendly and helpful with everything from dinner reservations to kid friendly resturants to time to line up for the parade. We were centrally located with only a short walk to most major sites and a major subway stop. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I would stay here again without any hesitation and would recommend it to anyone. There were no food amenities on site, but there are A LOT of restaurants very close by. Also Ray's pizza across the street was great!
“Very comfortable hotel in a great location”
A very reasonably priced hotel in a central location. The room and bathroom were reasonably sized, and the only down side was the noise made by the air-conditioning unit. Thoroughly recommended.
“Nice and Modern”
Aside from the modern and edgy stile, this hotel provides help with anything u need, it's really close to the main points u would want to visit. Overoll satisfaction.
“Perfect Location”
We were 8 people travelling together and booked this hotel right in the heart of NYC. Nothing was far away and the service staff at the hotel was very helpful and friendly during our 4 days stay. We tried to get back again later during our trip, but all was sold out. Only thing missing was the free internet access.
“Convienent place to stay in mid-town near Times Square”
Clean place to stay, pleasant staff, good location to mid-town with lots of things to do or needs in immediate area. Only downfalls, hotel has no on premises facilties for food currently. Rooms tends to be pretty small with the bathrooms being very tight. But clean and reasonably priced.
“Christmas in New York during a blizzard!”
The hotel was great. The location was awesome. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable. This appeared to be an older hotel, but they were in the process of doing some renovations. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to stay near Times Square or Broadway.
“Very positive experience”
Totally enjoyed this hotel -
“Small, but exactly what we needed / expected.”
The staff was amazing - from the moment they dashed to our taxi to open the doors and whisk our bags to the room. The hotel itself is not 5-star, but does not claim to be. The room (and bathroom!) were small, and if you're overweight or not flexible, sitting on the commode may be a challenge due to the configuration of the fixtures, but otherwise - comfortable. On the 10th floor, we were able to sleep each night with the windows open with minimal noise from below. Location, location, location! Situated right IN the theater district, the AMERITANIA suited our needs perfectly. Reasonably priced, comfortable, convenient. We will definitely be staying here again ! ! !
“Fantastic value for money with a great location”
Stayed at this hotel with my Mum for 4 nights at the beginning of April 2009, I also stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in December 2007. Brilliant hotel and the location is fantastic, just a stones throw away from Times Square, which has a buzzing atmosphere. Easy to get around New York from this location, as the subway is only a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. We found our room very comfortable and clean, which met our needs. Sure we could have stayed at a more expensive hotel, but we would both rather have more money to shop! If you are looking for a clean and friendly hotel then this will satisfy. TIP. If you want to grab a Diner breakfast but don't want to venture too far then you MUST try Ellen's Stardust Diner on Times Square (5 min walk from hotel). Brilliant food and good entertainment, even at 8am in the morning!
“I would return to this Hotel.”
This hotel was very close to Time Square. Get spot. I would def. return to this hotel. The only complaint I have is the bathroom is too small and they need to keep up with the maint. work. They charge enough money to stay there, so I assume they have enough money to maintain it.
