The striking, modern Conrad New York features walls of glass with river views and a 15-story atrium lobby. Some 30,000 square feet of flexible event space includes 18 adjustable meeting rooms and 2 ballrooms, the largest of which can hold 550 people. “Step into the future.”
This place is a knockout visual feast. The staff had great attitudes. I did not want to leave.

The Conrad Hotel (formerly the Embassy Suites) is brand new and opened in March 2012. It is modern, airy, quiet, comfortable, stylish, and very moderately priced for what you get. I stayed there Thursday and Friday night in May 2012. It had everything I wanted. The front desk and bell desk staff are professional, helpful, and courteous. Take the A-train from JFK (exit Chambers St)and save a bundle on taxi fare. Or take Path from EWR and the WTC stop is just a few blocks away. Pros: Quiet (no bus lines nearby), no sirens, honking horns, modern, very clean. All rooms are suites. Plush bedding, large showers, 2 flat screen TVs in room. Whole Foods Market is nearby. View of Hudson River from the hotel. Cons: Closest subway stop is a few blocks away at WTC or Chambers Street. Not much going on right around the hotel, so if you're looking for a bustling mid-town style vibe, it's not here. Mostly office buildings around here.

“I'll stay here again”
The hotel has only been open a couple of weeks so there were some minor kinks but extremely minor. Technologically, it was the nicest hotel I've stayed at. Convenient to WTC and a nearby mall.

Roof top bat still not open despite promises it would be and can you believe wifi is extra !

My room was not cleaned up the first night. A couple of cable channels were not available.

Great hotel, easy check in, room is clean, sleek, modern, no complaints. Good location, just across the street from the hudson river, great place to take a stroll after dinner, lots of restaurants around the corner.
“3.5 rater”
Previously stayed in Conrad, Tokyo Japan which was superb so we thought we'd try this new hotel. It was overly satisfactory but the room service was a bit inconsistent, linens and pillows had some weird severe odors that were quite unbearable. But overall 4 night stay was comforting and as long as they can improve the minors, we'll recommend them to friends and families.
