Our first trip to New York and the hotel and surroundings were very much appreciated by us visitors from Scotland. All staff were very obliging. Accommodation most comfortable and the location was ideal use of local subway and local amenities. Would recommend to others.

Great hotel. We stayed here for the NYC Marathon. Great location only a few steps from Central Park. Our room was big for NYC. We had reserved a queen, but got "upgraded" to a double sweet, with sitting area. Breakfast buffet was very good. Convenient location. Directly across the street from the Natural History Museum. Easy taxi access. Fairly short trip to LaGuardia.

“Superb service”
Was thoroughly impressed with this hotel. We arrived 2 hours before the official check-in time, expecting to leave our bags with the concierge until 3pm but because our rooms were ready we were checked in straight away with no fuss. The room was lovely and, apart from one of the lamps not working, was perfect. Very nice area and delightful staff. Would definitely go there again.

Always a wonderful time at the Excelsior Hotel. The hotel has been tastefully redone and the rooms are clean and spacious. The location is fantastic, right off the park, with great shopping and dining. Love this hotel!!
