“Don't be fooled by the 2.5 star rating!!!”

This place is great! Do NOT be fooled by the 2.5 star rating. Our room had a king size bed that was very comfortable, a newly renovated bathroom and internet in our room. We never had problems with hot water and we did shower between 7 am and 9 am as I'm sure many other guests did as well. Everything was spotless and the room temperature was perfect. We had a great view of the Empire State Building and the complimentary breakfast was perfect! Don't expect a full bacon and eggs style meal, but having the egg sandwiches and cereal or coffee and juice saved us A LOT of money. Breakfast in NYC (and everything else in NYC) is pretty expensive. Our hotel staff was AMAZING! They were always eager to help us and never had anything but smiling faces. They were also very professional and polite. The hotel also offers a computer where they allow you to print. We had checked in online and without any trouble were able to print our boarding passes on the complimentary computer in the basement. Also, they kept our luggage safe for us all day when we had to check out. We didn't fly out until 8pm so they held our luggage until we had to leave to go to the airport. Overall a super hotel! Affordable and right in the heart of where we wanted to be.

“Third time's the charm”

3rd stay in NYC & have stayed at different hotels previous times. This is the one for me though. Very clean & subway not even 50ft away. Great places to eat/shop right around hotel & short walk to ESB/Bryant Park/Times Square. When I checked in I asked girl at desk (can't remember her name!) for room w/view of ESB & sure enough was given room 1401 w/ESB to the left & Herald Square view to the right. Love the complimentary breakfast w/different hot choices each day & good variety of drinks/juices/strong coffee/teas/cereals/pastries/toast/bagels/yogurt/fresh fruit, etc. Very handy. Room was very clean & enough space for 2 adults. Would have liked mini fridge instead of desk but that's personal choice. I WILL STAY HERE AGAIN!

Hotel was very clean, and it was comfortable. The room was a little small but that was to be expected in NYC. Wonderful location! Staff helpful. Would definitely return.

“An amazing hotel - enough said:)”

A superb hotel. The front desk staff are exremely helpful, providing maps and local information. The rooms are clean and tidy with a flat screen tv and cable. The bathroom was modern and included complimentary filter coffee. The breakfast is superb, it includes hot food, cereals, bread, bagels, waffles, fruit salad, fresh fruit, juices and hot drinks. BIG TIP - get down to breakfast early as after 8am it can get very busy and there are not a lot of tables - however you can take food up to your rooms. Overall, this is the best citybreak hotel I have stayed in - without exception. It is well worth the money. The location is great, 30 seconds from Herald Square / Macys / subway etc. All local (212) and freehone (1-800) calls are free so you can contact museums and shops etc. Safes are free and available in the foyer - although there are not enough for every room, we had to wait a day for one to become free. A very minor negative in a hotel full of positives :)))

“Fantastic and would recommend to everyone!”

The hotel was fantastic, staff all very friendly and helpful, rooms clean and very comfortable. Hot & cold breakfast served 6-10am every day with different choices each day. Great location with a subway station and Macy's just a couple of minutes walk away and Times Square about 10 minutes walk. Couldn't ask for a better hotel and location for the price! Highly recommend to anyone who wants to travel to New York on a low-medium budget.

“Excellent hotel, great location, great view!!”

The Hampton Inn provides a great hotel for the money. The price is great for the area, you are virtually next to everything! Great subway access, shopping! My room had a view of the Empire State Building as well which was great. The bed itself is very comfortable and felt very clean. The room was very spacious for NYC standards. The bathroom was spacious as well and had nice finishes and was very clean! Breakfast is great, a bit crowded, but the selection was great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again next time i'm in town.

“Clean hotel in the heart of the city”

We travelled with our daughters, 14 and 10 years old. Had a great time, would go back any time. Hotel location: Very conveniently located - a few minutes walk from Times Square; the subway and bus stop - 1 minute walk. Walking distance from Central Park. We didin't use the car during our stay. Room: small but very clean and quiet. Newly renovated hotel, no funny smells. The elevators can get very busy and we had to wait 5 minutes to get one. Breakfast was included - tasty, a good choice of food. The breakfast area was a bit crowded - one morning we had to wait few minutes to get a table. All in all, a good choice for the location, price and cleaness.

“I'm picky, but there was nothing to complain about here”

For a group of 4 girls, we stayed in a standard room with 2 double beds. The room seemed to be bigger as it was designed for the disabled, so this extra square footage made the room much more comfortable for us. The complimentary breakfast was very good, there were always free drinks in the lobby, and free drinking water at the ice machine on our floor. The staff was very helpful and friendly when we asked about attractions. Having internet access was very useful for us. The bathroom was very clean, nothing to complain about. Great hotel, will certainly come back to this one next time I'm in NYC.
