“A nice place”

The hotel staff were so nice, and the room was clean and very spacious, especially in relation to hotel rooms in Manhattan. The restaurant food was delicious and reasonably priced, and the restaurant staff members were hospitable.

Hotel is easy to find if you have the correct directions which vary depending on route you are taking. Gave it a 5 based on value. Was clean, friendly, everything you needed. Breakfast was good.

“Would go back again.”

Every thing in the hotel/restaurant was very clean, comfortable and inviting. The staff was friendly/efficient. Restaurant food was very pleasing. Fire alarm need a new battery and it was replaced immediately for me. The t.v. need replacing, as the color was overall pinkish, but you could still see programs. Shuttle returning to the airport was very fast (every 20 minutes), but getting picked up from the airport they took about 45 minutes before coming for me. Be aware that you will have to pay a $14.00 NJ train fare each way to/from NYC and the ride could take up to an hour.

“Had mostly good points”

The shuttle from the airport to the hotel takes a long time to arrive if you get to the airport very late at night. The restaurant in the hotel offers plenty of food at a very reasonable price. The rooms are clean, bright and quiet. Overall a good stay at the Howard Johnson.

“Dont Worry About the Neighbours”

This hotel was clean, neat and tidy with no outside noise even though close to the airport. They ran a shuttle service ever hour for the whole 24 hours of the day to the airport and there you could catch a train into New York ending up at 33rd Street just near times square. No charge for this service. Do not look at the surrounding neighbours as they do not bother you as a great place to spend the night at a good rate. The service we received was tops for the time we were there and they also have a pay laundry for your convenience. It was also close to the Cruise Ship Terminal at Bayonne so found that handy.
