“Returning the next weekend, it was so great!”
It was our first time staying at the Benjamin. As a matter of fact, we were going into the city the following weekend. We cancelled our reservations at the Rennaissance 57 and rebooked at the Benjamin.
“Beyond the call of duty”
We were very pleased on arrival to get upgraded to a king size suite from a queen. The extra sitting area and kitchenette allowed us to entertain family and enjoy our Christmas away from home. Unfortunately I had left a personal bag in a Newark taxi on arrival and the valet and front desk staff, especially David and Niki went beyond the call of duty in assisting in the retrieval. Everyone, including the cleaning staff was very helpful and accommodating to our every need. We would seriously consider staying here again. A great hotel & well run.
“Excellent Bargain”
Unexpected luxury for the price. The hotel was beautiful and the room was spacious and updated. I did not expect such a wonderful experience considering the more than reasonable price for a NYC hotel.
“Recent stay”
Some parts of the hotel are beginning to feel a bit old and dated, but the lobby and rooms are in good shape and classic. The beds are in excellent condition as well. It's both nice and important to have a good bed while traveling, and The Benjamin gets top marks for this. The hotel staff service is excellent, among the best I've experienced.
“Very pleased”
The hotel is beautiful, with a relatively small, yet comfortable, lobby. The room was well appointed. Location and service were great. No complaints. Some hotels give complimentary water bottles. A bottle was placed next to the bed each day. It was over $3, we later learned. This is a nice side revenue for the hotel, I'm sure. Otherwise, I actually look forward to returning.
“Best bedding in NY”
The staff made sure that my girlfriends Birthday was perfect. From the 4 different kinds of pillows to the cupcake with the Happy Birthday greeting written in chocolate to our upgraded suite it was perfect. We fell in love during our carriage ride in Central Park.I can't wait to go back next month!!
“Excellent hotel, great value”
My husband and I stayed at The Benjamin for a weekend getaway. We booked a studio suite through Expedia. When we arrived, we were upgraded to a one bedroom king suite with a small terrace. The room was clean and beautiful, and quite large by New York hotel standards. The location was excellent and the service was fantastic. We'd definitely stay again.
“Great choice for NYC”
Great location, small hotel in NYC.
“well located”
staff were extremly friendly. room was very clean and a decent size. we had traveled with friends and they had only praise also. they took advantage of the different pillows and found that to be a nice feature. would defintely stay there again.
“Top Hotel, Top Location”
A very nice place to stay & I will certainly stay at The Benjamin again, when next in New York. I would recommend to others trying to secure a room, that is not next to the fire stairwell. The comings & goings of the staff through the stairwell do create a little noise, in particular the door closing shut.
