This historic inn is in the charming Yorkville neighborhood on the eastern edge of the Upper East Side. Carl Schurz Park, bordering the East River, is four blocks from the inn. Gracie Mansion, dating from 1799, is a half-mile away. Guests are also within easy reach of Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the elegant shops of Madison and Fifth avenues.
The Gracie Inn serves complimentary breakfast in bed. The inn is smoke-free and uses only eco-friendly cleaning products. Pets are permitted.
Rooms
The Gracie Inn offers 13 rooms, which can be accessed via elevator. Décor is cozy urban-farmhouse style. Wireless Internet access is complimentary. Rooms also feature well-equipped kitchenettes, sitting areas, and flat-screen TVs with DVD players and more than 100 digital channels. Private bathrooms include tubs, hair dryers, and eco-friendly toiletries. Other amenities include in-room safes, complimentary bottled water, CD players, and nightly turndown service.

“Nice alternative in NYC”
The inn was a comfortable place to stay for a good price. The breakfast brought to your door was a nice touch. Definately would stay there again.
“NYC's best kept secret”
We were pleasantly surprised by this "B&B" in the middle of Manhattan. The location was ideal and the room was furnished with anything you could possibly need. I wish that I could have stayed longer!
“The best place I've stayed in NY at a great price.”
This is an old apartment complex that has been converted into a bed and breakfast style hotel. It is in a very quiet neighborhood, has a cozy home like atmosphere and many ammenities you don't find in traditional NY hotels such as a kitchenette, antique furniture and room to move about. I very much enjoyed my stay there and will return on my next visit. Don't let the 2 star rating fool you, this place is nicer than bigger hotels with higher ratings and higher prices I've stayed at in NY. A good place for a romantic weekend in the big city.

quaint, but comfortable. Great way to stay in the big apple when you don't need a 5 star price.
“we'll be back”
My fiance and I were making our first foray into new york, and we were nervous about a hotel that seemed to be so reasonably priced. Despite our skepticism, we were unable to find any problems. The bed was comfortable, the separate sitting area, complete with futon and lounge chair was a joy to have, as most hotels would have you read or watch tv from your bed. We were allowed an early check in, the clerks were very polite and helpful, and we would highly recomend this for anyone traveling into Manhattan, whether budget conscious or not.
“European-sized & good 80s location”
Room was European-sized but clean and has full kitchen. For visiting family in the 80s and getting to museums on upper East side, location was excellent. Unfortunately, hotel does not have a lobby so your room is the only place to sit.
“It's New York after all.”
Pluses: The hotel is in a great location. The young folks at the front desk were very helpful and personable. There is a breakfast delivered to your room. Minuses: It is not as sparkly clean as it might be and it was expensive but then again, reasonable by New York standards. I'd stay there again but I would still wish that it were cleaner and cheaper.
“Not a Hotel”
This is a bed and breakfast, not a hotel. If you are arriving late at night (after about 10 pm), you should check ahead of time to see how to get your key because there is no staff at night.
“Cheap room, extremely helpful staff on the Upper East Side.”
Rooms are small and have cooking facilities--the hotel is mostly intended for longer stays although we stayed one night and were very happy. Might be adapted from an apartment building. We found the room very comfortable and very good value for the location, especially since breakfast in bed is included! We should mention that the service from the staff was far above and beyond what was required. One of our bags arrived several days late from the airline and the Inn kept our bag at the front desk until we came back to NYC to get it.
“It worked for me.”
The Hotels uptown location made it the right choice for me. It was quite and the room was clean.
