“Wonderful hotel”
I booked this hotel on the strength of other good reveiws and the special deal offered on Expedia. I have stayed in many hotels in NY and this is definitely one of the best. I was upgraded on arrival to a spacious room located at the back of the hotel which was therefore very quiet and perfect for a 5 night stay. The room was extremely comfortable and well maintanined as was the hotel in general and I found the staff to be very helpful and pleasant. The location is ideal, being within a short walk of 5th Avenue, the Rockerfeller Centre, Times Square and Grand Central Station. I would definitely stay here again.
“found a gem in mid-town”
We loved the amentities and location. The room was small, but the plasma tv, DVD player, excellent bed, and bath amentities were great. There's a coffee shop 2 doors down for inexpensive meals. Good location.
“Fabulous Hotel, good value, great location”
Iroquois was a great find. Very nicely appointed, clean and updated boutique hotel in a great location. Good value.
“Would definitely go back”
It was a very pleasant change to stay in a small hotel in NYC. Had the feel of a B&B with all the amenities of a large hotel. Everything about the hotel was positive, and the restarant was exceptional. We would definitely stay there again.
“Nice Hotel, Great Rates, Great Location”
Stayed there with my wife for a fun 2 night stay without the kids and the room was good sized by NYC standards and also was clean. Location was great for shopping 5th Ave and hitting Central Park and a play at Times Square. Really good option overall.
“Very comfortable with great location.”
Above, in check in info. Great place. 1.5 blocks from Times Square. All staff friendly and helpful.
“A aperfect Stay in NYC”
This hotel was perfectly located to all the major attractions, shoppinjg, and public transportation. This was our first time in NYC and we couldn't have pick a better place that allowed us the ability to see as much as we did with as little effort as it took. The hotel is a very high class establishment. The food that is offered in the restaurant and room service is of high quality and well made, but the french style food won't appeal to everyone. It is also very expensive. The first night my wife and I ordered two entrees from room service and ended up paying $80! The next morning we had breakfast for $50! We did not eat at the hotel again. This hotel is great for people who want comfort and don't mind a little splurge. If you have kids and want to save some money this isn't the place. But we were celebrating our anniversary and it was everything we could have asked for.
“A Sheer Delight”
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary in NYC and the Iroquois really exceeded our expectations. We will stay at the Iroquois on every return trip. The Mid-town location is convenient to everything. The hotel is intimate and chocked full of amenities. The room is good size for NYC with a nice bath, robes, free wireless, a collection of DVDs, NY Times newspaper every day with access to the WSJ and US Today in a wonderful little library off the lobby. There is a cheap place to eat just down 44th street called the Red Flame. There was great coffee in the lobby in the morning and hot cider in the evening. The bed was really comfortable and a great night sleep with no noise from the city that never sleeps! The staff are super friendly and helpful in every way. I have been looking for a nice place to stay without breaking the bank and this is it. You can't do wrong when the place is one of the best small hotels in the world.
“Will definitely stay here again.”
Room was immaculate other than the carpet. Beds extremely comfortable and turned down each evening. Could not hear outside traffic, although we did have a courtyard room. If bathroom door was kept closed, hotel noice (plumbing) was kept to a minimum. Although small, we were able to move about. We rearranged the frigerator to make room for some leftovers. We were charged for goods removed, but they adjusted the bill without any hassle. They stored our luggage upon check-out. Extremely convenient location!
“The Iroquois -- First Time Won't Be My last”
First stay at The Iroquois (44th between 5th and 6th) and I was delighted with all aspects of my time there. Room was light, clean, comfortable and quiet; staff was available, aware and attentive: water was immediately hot for shower/shave; bed was snuggly with loads of pillows; the closet had plenty of hangers and as safe; the internet was free and it worked...and I could go on, but I don't think I need to. This was my first stay and this gem of a hotel...but it definitely won't be my last...and from now on it will be the first place I look for a vacancy whenever I travel to New York.
