“AN EXCELLENT HOTEL OVERALL”
An excellent hotel, good central location. Stayed in a suite with 4 people. Room was very comfortable, bed excellent. Sofa bed in living room also very good. Have a balcony as well. Good breakfast buffet - they offered it to us for free once we got there. The rooftop terrace bar is excellent. Would highly recommend. Only negative comment would be that the heater was a bit noisy.
“A great hotel in midtown at a reasonable price”
Excellent service 99 percent of our stay. Only exception is they forgot to bring new bath towels one day. I called front desk and was immediately taken care of. the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! A limiting factor was that the standard rooms only offered a king sized bed and a sofa bed. Having a family of 4 (wife and 2 kids), I would have preferred two queens. The sofa bed was expectedly not as comfortable as the king size bed. We took turns sleeping in it! Room service was great, concierge was very helpful, business center is available 24/7 with free wifi and printer, and the roman tub with an extra large massage shower head was a true treat for the body. One of the only negatives was that the heater in the room is always on, and although it was very cold outside, it was excessively warm inside. We had to put on the air conditioner to max cool, or open the window to balance out the room temperature. Hotel has a great location in midtown, right next to fifth avenue, the shops, st. Patrick's cathedral, and the Rockefeller center. I would definitely return.
“Great price, great place, would definitely go back”
Stayed there this past weekend - March 16-18th, 2012. While some parts of the hotel are a bit dated and small like the lobby and the tiny business centre, the rest of the place was awesome and I would definitely go back. The room was huge by NYC standards and bathroom and kitchen were fully updated. The bed and sofabed were very comfortable. the robes and slippers were a really nice touch and while we didn't use the balcony, it was nice to go out there to check the weather and let all of the sunlight into the room. TVs are new as well. For the price, it was really a phenomenal deal. The rooftop restaurant/bar was great too. We went up there for a drink and the place was hopping and also had breakfast there. Breakfast was decent and priced a bit high which is typical of hotels so I'm not complaining. The venue made it worth it with a nice view!
“Jan 2012”
The staff of the hotel was very helpful and went out of their way to accomodate us when we were struck by an unexpected medical emergency.
“Would return again!”
All staff was pleasant, helpful and courteous. Great location and near a Metro connection. Near "The Pond" of Central Park - great for walking, jogging, or carriage rides and also pedal carts,or horse & carriage rides. Near St. Patrick's Cathedral and all sorts of restaurants and pharmacies, etc. Held our luggage till it was time to depart for airport.
“This place was awesome!”
I took my girlfriend to NYC to celebrate one year of dating and this place was unreal. We were upgraded to luxury suite, which was super nice. Staff was really friendly and heplful and in general, made the trip a very pleasant experience.
“Would definitely go back”
Despite a slight hitch at check-in (one of our two rooms not ready when we arrived and front desk couldn't advise how long we would need to wait) our stay at The Kimberly was great. Our 6th floor rooms were spacious and beds very comfortable. Air conditioning a bit noisey and some traffic noise in room at front of hotel but this didn't disrupt sleep too much. Staff at hotel very polite and welcoming. Great location - Central Park / Empire State Building all within walking distance - subway station at end of street for those longer trips. We would be happy to return to this hotel again.
“Luxurious Retreat”
This was a beautifully appointed suite. The layout - closet and storage options, kitchen/bar facilities, bathroom were wonderful. Bed and linens were luxurious. I regretted leaving such a beautiful respite - even to enjoy New York city!
“A New York gem”
A great place to stay - if you pay that bit extra it won't disappoint
“Will Return”
Nicely appointed rooms, comfortable couch, room was quiet, had its own small terrace, and sleep number beds!
