“Good location, fine place”
Those who've done negative reviews of this place must really be either very "particular," or have hit the place on an off day. My friend and I found it just fine, and the staff went the second mile, it seemed, to honor our requests. (I did find out that my friend had called the hotel after I shared the name, location, etc. and added his Preferred status number to the room--so that may've contributed to the top floor room.) Located just a block from TImes Square, and smack between the 1,2,3 subway stop and the N, Q R stop--easy to get around from there!
“Better than it's 3.5 star rating!”
Excellent hotel! Located in the middle of times square. Within walking distance of Central Park, Broadway, NBC studios and so much more. Easy walk to subway. It was only a $31.50 cab fare from LaGuardia to the hotel, including bridge toll. Hotel is clean, very safe, many hotel staff members to help. There us a doorman and a lot of security. We never felt unsafe or hesitant to leave our belongings there. It is better than a 3.5 star hotel.
“loved hotel,location and new york itself”
We found the hotel a great location. Room was very clean and big had a double bed each which was very comfortable. We found the staff very helpful and freindly. Pool area was nice and found it relaxing after a good day shopping. Would definatley go back and recommend it.
“Can't wait to stay here again!”
I thought that this was a wonderful hotel to stay at! Everything was in walking distance and room was clean and beds very comfortable. I would recommend that you stay above the 12th floor for a great view. This was a safe neighborhood as well, and the hotel was very accessible. We plan on coming back and staying at this hotel again soon!
“Excellent hotel very central location”
This hotel is excellent value was extremely clean, had good reception staff and free Internet for guests. Location was very centralonly a short walk from the park and the Rockerfeller centre. The hotel is on top of time square which was handy for shops and theatre tickets but was very difficult to get though the crowds on a night when you'd had a long day. This was its only downfall for us but it really depends on what you are looking for.
“Great for First Timers!”
This is really my 2nd trip to NYC, but this hotel would have been perfect for my 1st time. You can pratically see 42nd St from just walking outside the hotel. And for convinience, there are many subways around the hotel you can take to get around. Beds are comfortable for those long days of just walking and enjoying NYC life!

“Great location, pool a bonus”
Having glanced at a Tripadvisor review, I was feeling a bit nervous. However, after a 6 night stay, would have no qualms in recommending this hotel to anybody visiting New York. Stones throw from Times Square, subway around the corner, two minutes from Rockafeller Centre, with a heated swimming pool for a wake-up dip or e relaxing chill at the end of the day (open 6am to 10pm). Would definitely stay here again.

“Just what I needed”
There was a mix-up with our original hotel reservation, and I'm glad. Expedia notified us and got us into a better place for the same price. I don't go to New York to sit in a hotel room, so my expectations aren't very high. Here we had all the comfort and convenience we needed. Helpful, pleasant staff upgraded us to a king bed at n/c, and steered us away from a noisy room by the service elevator. A little roomier than most midtown hotel rooms. The location is the best. Very short walks to Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Central Park, subway access. Only one half-demerit for a limited TV channel selection, and another for the wi-fi charge. The latter was moderated by time-limited free wi-fi in the lobby and free access to computer printing of our boarding passes. Still, I object on principle to charging a significant amount for wireless internet access; smart mobile devices are no longer a luxury.
