“Serenity in the middle of Manhattan”
Great location, easy access to Broadway and Midtown shopping on 5th Ave. Just a block from the #1 MTA train which we used to to zip down to the Village, TriBeCa, Battery Park, and Penn Station. Elegant decor, great room. Note - we had a Junior suite which was very roomy, however on the inside of the hotel. Very little sunlight will reach these rooms so do ask when booking.
“Such a great hotel”
The hotel and stuff were wonderful! Everyone was so nice and pleasant to us. The up keep was great, and the rooms were such a comfortable size. The beds were very comfortable as well. The location is so perfect!! In the middle of everything. Will be going back and staying here again!
“Why go anywhere else?”
This hotel doesn't have a doorman...it has CARLOS! This hotel doesn't have Bellmen...it has HENRY and NEY. This hotel doesn't have a Front Desk person...it has WALTER. This hotel doesn't have a concierge...it has JAMES. The only place in NYC we will stay...they're family!
“Great hotel”
I picked this hotel for a weekend stay in NYC to celebrate my wife's birthday and based it on the excellent reviews it got; I was not disappointed. At check in we were told that we had been upgraded to a junior suite at no extra cost. The room we were given was excellent with plenty of space and the Kingsize bed was the best I've ever slept in. The whole hotel was very clean and we found all the staff very friendly. We were only a few mintues walk from the centre of Times Square and the theatres of Broadway and there were bars and restaurants all around including a really good deli where breakfast was great. The bus stop for the Citytours 'hop on - hop off' bus was just across the road as well so you could get further afield without much effort. The hotel is very well placed in the heart of mid-town and we couldn't have asked for a better base for our trip. To top it all off, the hotel allowed us to use a complimentary computer in the lobby to check-in with our airline on line so leaving was as easy as arriving.
“great spot in the heart of theatre area NYC”
This hotel was a great find, and worth every penny! Superbe location, lovely environment, and the room was huge! Service was excllent; we were very well taken care of from the doorman taking care of our bags to the concierge who aptly suggested great restaurants & shopping & movie theatres near by. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who prefers non-chain hotels with some class & elegance, at a reasonable rate.
“Romantic Experience”
The room was lovely and so was the restaurant. Even though the restaurant was a little expensive, the service there was excellent. The bed in the beautifully decorated room was extremely comfortable.. we really enjoyed our stay. It was a perfect place to relax and get away from the daily routine. A very romantic experience!
“Great hotel -perfect location”
Five girls came for a shopping weekend oct 8-10. We have stayed in quite a few Time Sq. hotels but the Michelangelo was one of the nicest. PLeasant doormen and front desk tried to accommodate us in close rooms. The rooms were very clean and great beds! HIghly recommend this hotel-close to subway and many restaurants.
“Best hotel experience in NY.”
The Michelangelo was certainly one of the best hotels I've stayed in while visiting NY. For NY standards, this hotel easily offers far more room for the money, not to mention great service and excellent, clean and upscale rooms. You cannot beat the location, just a few blocks either way to all the action and park. I now expect to stay at the Michelangelo Hotel every time I visit.
“Memorable visit”
We were most impressed with The Michelangelo Hotel everything was first class, especially, as it was my daughters 40th Birthday. The complmentary wine and chocolates in the room was most appreciated. Very central. Coffee and croissant in the morning was ample to start the day. Also we were delighted with our room and cleanliness was first class, could not find any faults at all. Will certainly stay in The Michelangelo next time we are in New York. Wonderful!!
“Great New York Hotel”
The Michelangelo Hotel typifies all that's best in New York Hotels. It may not be the largest but it is a very luxurious and friendly place that exhudes warmth. Guests are made to feel welcome straight away and the impression given is that nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are comfortable, well equipped and spacious. The staff were always on hand, courteous and polite. We tried the room service on several occassions and were delighted at the speed and quality of the service. The food is of a very high standard indeed and the complimentary coffee and croissants really helped to start the day. For a more substantial meal try the restaurant - even the food critics of New York speak highly of it! Again, service was prompt, attentive and polite. What more can I say - try this hotel for your stay in New York and you won't be disappointed.
