“I would return”
New boutique hotel on the edge of the East Village. The rooms are small but well organized and designed, with lots of attractive features and small touches: fresh fruit at the bedside for turndown; walk-in shower and quality low scent toiletries; in-room safe large enough for a small laptop; books in every room and scattered throughout the public areas. The bed was amazingly comfortable and I slept better there than at home.
“Great location, great room in NYC.”
The room was a decent size for NYC. It was a great location, between 14th Street and Houston Street. The room was particularly clean and the shower had a nice sauna. Also there is no gym access, but you are provided with a complementary gym pass for a fantastic, well equipped gym across the street. Additionally, there is a great restaurant and bar in the hotel.
“As Friendly as a B&B”
This brand new luxury hotel in an ultra-modern stone and glass building was full of friendly young people who appeared sincere in wanting us to be comfortable and secure. We were offered snacks and drinks when we arrived while someone checked us in. A young man took us to our room and showed us how everything worked--clever light switches, etc. Our room had a small library of interesting books, an HD television, huge luxury bedding, satin robes, wine chilling in the tiny fridge. The hotel is very near some interesting restaurants, NYU, Cooper Union and all the lower Manhattan neighborhoods. Breakfast in the morning was included and served on the second floor where guests had gathered for drinks the night before. This hotel is only going to get better as they finish a restaurant and garden, but it was great to see it when the the prices were low--if you like simple luxury with a 21st century environment of natural materials, books galore and healthy foods, you might like this lower Manhattan experience.
“Stylish boutique hotel”
A trendy and fashionable hotel in a great downtown location. The decor is contemporary and very beautiful. The service is excellent from the minute you arrive and are seated in the comfortable lobby and offered a drink while the staff checks you in. The only negative is that storage space for clothing in our room was extremely limited. Overall, it's a great hotel.
“Cool Hotel”
We absolutely Loved it! Will stay here every time we go to New York. the whole experience was outstanding. The check-in & check-out procedures were the most efficent I have ever experienced. The location was great, the Decor was fabulous and the room altho small was very comfortable.
“Highly recommend it!”
The Cooper Square Hotel is a great new place in the East Village/Bowery area. We went in for an overnight stay and were very pleasantly surprised. Service is superior and the place is spotless. Rooms are a bit small but, hey, it's Manhattan. The restaurant is not yet open but the bar is way hip and draws a mostly local crowd. Free continental breakfast was very good. We were accommodated with a late check out upon request. The staff is very friendly and always asked how we were doing - did you enjoy your evening out? did you have a nice walk, etc... The hotel is a "green" hotel so the lighting is very dim. Take off your sunglasses if you want to find your room! Cooper Square Hotel is here to stay and I hope to visit again soon!
“Perfect Boutique Hotel”
We stayed at Cooper Square while our NYC apartment was being renovated. The hotel is stunning, and in the hip East Village/NoHo area of NYC. The hotel's restaurant is wonderful, but there are so many restaurants in the area that I recommend venturing out. Also note....Cooper Square is PET FRIENDLY, and they even have a special pet menu, prepared by their personal chef. Wally enjoyed the chicken, brown rice and peas.
“chic but friendly, great downtown location”
Very chic without the attitude. All the people were very helpful- nice included in the price breakfast buffet. Very relaxed, beautiful views from the rooms. Brand new and clean.
“LUXURIOUS COMFORT IN IDEAL LOCATION”
This was our 29th trip to NY and the bed was the most comfortable ever and the view (from a '3' grade room) was wonderful. great staff without 'attitude' even though at over 50 we are not the average age for this cool hotel. great bar and cocktails; great breakfast. We love the location. Great for buses and subway. Great eateries nearby and ASTOR wine shop to avoid minibar prices!!! NY hotels are expensive; our view is that hotels like this can be thus better value than a dull place for not much less per night but we do like to use the room amd watch TV. If you are only sleeeping in your room you can find cheaper. Good shower room; no bath in our room.
“We loved the modern design.”
The staff were very attentive. The rooms were lovely. They have a nice added touch by having books in your room to enjoy.
