“Fantastic breakfast”
Was really impressed with the location, quality of the accommodation and in particular, the fantastic breakfast on offer that was included in the price. Would definitely go back.
“Quaint little inn”
My husband, baby and I went to Newport, RI for Labor Day weekend. We stayed at the America's Cup Inn and were pleasantly surprised at how convenient it was to all of the attractions Newport has to offer. The place is very quaint looking. The room, which was on the first floor had a homey feel to it, although I husband kept complaining that he felt we were in a fishbowl being that we were right on the corner looking out into the street, or rather, he felt that people could look into our room from the street. He also didn't like that the room looked like it was straight out of the 1970's with it's decor. I thought it was cute. What I thought they could have improved on was the front desk. We arrived to the hotel only to be greeted by a grumpy man, and then the next night, he was replaced by a grumpy lady. Another thing that could be better was the breakfast. There was a LOT to choose from, but not quality food. Omelets were available on a plate, and there were instructions to microwave them (ew). If they improved the breakfast selection, it would be an awesome place.
“Excellent location, comfortable room”
This little hotel is in an excellent location. The place has character and doesn't feel as sterile as the typical hotel chain, which my boyfriend and I found to be pleasant and refreshing. A really good stay!
“Quick Getaway”
Loved the hotel... clean and comfortable. Was right in the thick of things so we could walk everywhere.
“Convenience”
This is right in the heart of the action. A breakfast that offers so many options everyone can find something, it was very impressive. There is also a roof deck that is nice to take advantage of.
“Right in the middle of everything”
Went for a weekend with my girlfriend and was very happy with America's Cup Inn. You are right in the middle of many bars, restaurants, shopping etc. and about a 15 minute walk from the Cliff Walk. We stayed outside Newport last summer to save some cash but it was worth the extra money. Hotel is right across the street from the wharves and has a friendly and courteous staff.
“Quaint, Charming , Comfortable & Reasonable”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Americas Cup in. The staff was very pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. The lovely breakfast buffet, which is included with the price of your room, is quite good. The hotel location right downtown made it easy to go exploring the lovely town of Newport and sample its many fine restaurants and harbor area. The Mansions, Cliff Walk and other parts of Newport were easily reached by the trolley, which has stops throughout the town.
“in the middle of town”
Very convenient to shopping, restaurants, quiet and comfortable. Nice breakfast buffet.
“Hotel staff are pleasant. However, the front desk person was new and couldn't give us clear directio”
clear directions to the hotel from the Newport location we called form not more than 1 mile away. The hotel is clean, and the furniture and interior decorations are lovely. Our room was large and beautifully decorated. The hotel offers a pretty good selection of food for its continental breakfast.
“Great Hotel”
Great hotel, great location!!! Would recommend this hotel to everyone!!!
