Property Amenities
Although the street address is on Promenade des Anglais, the Hôtel Elysée Palace is a half-block from the Promenade itself, which has wide sidewalks parallel to the beach. Built in 1987, the Hôtel Elysée Palace is unlike the Belle Epoque architecture of many other Nice hotels. The hotel's modern exterior is composed of streamlined stone and smoked glass, with subtle, classically inspired sculptures as oversized design elements. The hotel's interior has a contemporary Art Deco feel, with walnut-paneled corridors leading to guestrooms.
Hotel amenities include 2 meeting rooms, a business center and airport shuttle (both of which are available 24 hours a day), complimentary dial-up and wireless (high-speed) Internet access, and a smoke-free environment (fines apply for violations).
A large rooftop terrace provides a heated pool, showers, and a 360-degree view of Nice and the Mediterranean. Available to hotel guests only, the terrace is open from April to October. The terrace also features a restaurant and bar that serves drinks and a light summer menu. Le Clos des Gourmets, an intimate gourmet restaurant on the ground floor, is open from mid-September to mid-May, serving lunch and dinner menus with an emphasis on fish. A breakfast room offers a morning meal. Both self- and valet parking are available (surcharge for both). Pets accepted (dogs only; 1 per room).
Rooms
The Hôtel Elysée Palace has 143 nonsmoking guestrooms, each with tea/coffee making facilities, in-room safes, minibars with complimentary soft drinks, and flat-panel TVs with satellite service.
Guests with laptops can connect to the Internet via complimentary wireless Internet access.
Bathrooms are clad in marble and come equipped with telephones, bidets, bathrobes (on request), shower/tubs, and complimentary toiletries.
Room Amenities
Dining
Le Clos des Gourmets - Intimate gastronomic restaurant seating 30, open from mid-September to mid-May. Decor includes translucent-glass ceiling lights, double layers of brocade tablecloths, and white crockery with colorful but discreet Art Deco details. The à la carte and fixed-price lunch and dinner menus lean strongly toward fish dishes with “catch of the day” offerings. From April to November, Le Clos des Gourmets is closed, and the rooftop terrace restaurant opens to serve a lighter summer menu.
Rooftop Terrace - Informal bar and restaurant on the rooftop terrace open from April to October. Panoramic views, drinks and snacks all day, and a menu of fish dishes and grilled meats for lunch and dinner.
Breakfast Room - Separated from the lobby by frosted glass screens. Hot-and-cold buffet served each morning. Large green columns and potted trees punctuate rows of square tables, each with a pristine white tablecloth. The space is divided into two areas: one for individuals and small parties, and one for larger groups.
Recreation
Open from April to October, the hotel's 604-square-meter (6,500-sq ft) rooftop terrace contains 50 lounge chairs, showers, and a 12-meter (39-ft) pool. Access is free of charge and reserved exclusively for guests of the hotel. The terrace features panoramic view of the ocean, beach, and sky.
The Promenade des Anglais, a half-block from the hotel, has wide sidewalks parallel to the beach, a favorite of joggers and in-line skaters; cyclists have dedicated lanes. The clear Mediterranean waters are ideal for snorkeling, and the best beaches are the less-congested Eze-sur-Mer and Cap d'Ail, 10 km (6 mi) east; both are easily reachable by car, bus, or train. In summer, parasailing, water-skiing and personal watercraft can be hired at Florida Beach, directly across the Promenade from the hotel. Both experienced golfers and beginners are welcome at the 9-hole compact course at the Golf de Nice, open all year; the course is 4 km (2.5 mi) west.
The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near the hotel; fees may apply.

“Great Hotel Terrific Location”
Great Hotel slightly off Promenade des Anglais (although it still has an address on Promenade des Anglais). Service was excellent, room was clean and the roof top swimming pool was great (particularly since the beach in Nice is rocks, which is great to look at but a little hard on the feet). Please note that the upgrade to a sea view room isn't really worth it, as all you see is a little sliver off to the corner. All and all, I would definitely stay there again.
“Great Place to Stay”
The Hotel Staff were all very friendly and courteous. They also spoke english which made it easier through my broken french. The room was large, spotless and very comfortable. We asked for a late check out and they happily gave it to us with no fuss. The location is a little bit away from the main tourist area in the old town but you can walk down there along the beach in about 10 mins and its a nice walk. Overall i would recomend this hotel and i would certainly go back, a great place to stay.
“Lovely hotel - a shame breakfast was so expensive!”
Loved location and pool but disappointed that breakfast was 21E per person! Found a nice cafe close by where we breakfasted for 5E90 instead. pool bar also overpriced but I guess with the weak pound we had to expect that.
“very good hotel”
Good location. On a quiet street just of promenade des anglais. 10 minute by foot from Negresco hotel and 15 from downtown. Big clean room, comfortable, art deco style furniture, nice bathroom. Would stay there again.
“Great Location”
Excellent location, surprised by size of my room - spacious. Could see that some of the marble tiles needed to be replaced, but this was minor. Meals are really expensive, but so is everything on the Riviera. Would definitely stay here again.
“LOVELY HOTEL. LOVELY PLACE DEFINITELY GO BACK!”
Lovely hotel and in an ideal location close to the promenade. It was very clean and staff helpful. Bus stop just a few yards from hotel. Spar shop round corner from hotel for bits and pieces.
“Would strongly recommend”
Pleasant hotel with friendly and efficient customer service. Has great location and access to the city centre as well as the sea. Well maintained and nicely presented. Has a standard modern hotel atmosphere to it so if you are not a fan of that then perhaps you should consider other options. If you are driving then parking can be a problem because spaces are limited and can cost approx €20 a day. General verdict, I would strongly recommend it for anyone coming for a first or short visit to the region.
“Very nice”
this was a very nice hotel in Nice. close to the beach. in between airport and old nice.
“Fantastic hotel with a luxurious feel”
This is a fantastic hotel with a really luxurious feel to it. The decor of the hotel and rooms is very chic. The bed was the most comfortable bed ever. We only stayed one night so didn't eat in the hotel or use the facilites but the dining room looked amazing, kitted out in black and white furniture and the roof top pool, bar and garden gave a really nice touch with wonderful views of the city. I would highly recommend this hotel for a special occasion if you are wanting to treat yourself.
“Excellent location for the promanade and downtown”
Easy walk to most places and relatively cheap ( 25 E ) taxi trip to hotel from airport. Bar resturant a bit expensive. Pool on roof is great.
