“Lovely little gem of a hotel in a quaint village”
Le Saint Paul is a lovely little hotel. The staff is very professional and friendly. They all spoke English and were very accomodating. Upon our arrival there were fresh roses in our room, and a little tray of pastries. I cannot say enough about what a lovely stay we had. I can't wait to return.
“Good place to stay”
There is the lack of free internet connection in individual rooms, otherwise its a 5 all the way. Hotel restaurant was not available for dinner for the duration of our stay. Perhaps live-in guests should have priority in using dining facilites.
“great hotel, good staff, good management.”
You will love the hotel, a little difficult to raech by car, but the taxi at the bottom of the hill gets you up the hill and onto the narrow streets to the Hotel, do Visit The Royal Beach Restaurant in Antibes for Lunch (left hand side of the bay)on the beach, car hire well worth the bother, Nice only a short drive away, the old town very interesting, Try to meet the manager at the Hotel, a charming man, with a keen intrest in his Hotel, afternoon teas, and other little extras,(at no extra charge) all add to a great little hotel.,
“Beautiful hotel”
the hotel is located in the beautiful old city of St-Paul de Vence. One major drawback is the difficulty to drive inside the city itself because the streets are so narrow. And no warning was given. My car was scratched by a wall. The location of the luggage drop-off is not clear either when you come by car inside the city. Other issue : the access to the city is limited to the residents. Hotel guests have to get access from a guard who was not available at night. It took a long time and several phone calls to finally get access.
“not recommended”
The hotel is perched on a hilltop walled town with amazing views, great shopping and dining. Unfortunately the hotel doesn't live up to the charm of the town. Our rooms were dark with windows opening up to the wall of the neighbouring building and there was no outside area to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Their restaurant was awful and prices exorbitant.

Area:
Saint-Paul-de-Vence, France: Writers and artists still flock to St-Paul-de-Vence, a dazzling example of a village perché, restored with great care and taste. Many patronise the famous inn known as the Colombe dOr (now an exclusive hotel). Handsome stone buildings crown a high ridge within its 16th-century ramparts, giving wonderful views over russet rooftops and cypresses. The Maeght Foundation just outside the village houses an impressive collection of 20th-century art.
