“Reasonably priced, clean, away from Metro”

This was a great place to stay in Arlington to save money -- clean and comfortable rooms in a motel-style building. Only disadvantage is that it is more than a mile from any Metro stop (closest is probably Rosslyn). But with good weather, it's a pleasant 1.5 mile walk into downtown, past residential neighborhoods with colonial architecture. Area felt safe.

“Perfect for the Price”

This is a great hotel in the Arlington area. With very good location, you can get to anywhere in DC in a matter of minutes. As a frequent traveler of the District, I can say this hotel is around relatively low volume traffic areas, so it's not too much of a pain getting in and out. The price is awesome for the proximity to the capital, and the staff are great. I had a slight problem with towels when I first checked in, but it was corrected in a matter of minutes.

“Clean, quiet, comfortable”

We were worried when we saw the 2 star rating, but we were pleasently surprised by the comfort and cleanliness of the hotel. It was a drive away from the Metro, but it wasn't a problem...fee parking on Sundays. Weekdays might be tricky. We would definately stay here again.

“Great for the price!”

This hotel is the perfect place to stay if you're looking for reasonable prices. Rooms are nice and clean, staff friendly. If you're staying for a longer period, the fridge and a microwave in your room is a real advantage. Several supermarkets and cafes in walking distance of the hotel. Good, tidy neighborhood. Only be prepared to walk 20 min to the nearest metro station or take a bus to get there. I would definitely stay in Inns of Virginia again!

“Suited our need”

We were in Arlington for a service at the National Cemetary and needed a clean, quiet, inexpensive place to spend a night. This hotel fit the bill. It's nothing fancy, but it was clean and safe. The people at the desk were courteous and professional. A light breakfast of packaged rolls and coffee or tea and juice was more than sufficient to hold us until we reached our next destination. Free parking is an attractive bonus in the DC area where car parking can cost almost as much as the price of our room.

“Not what I expected”

I read earlier reviews from 2007 and was truly terrified of the hotel i was going to stay in. It was too late to readjust my itinerary so I decided I had to make the best of it. Other reviews complained of dirtiness and theft, but I was greeted by really great staff and a beautiful room. it was right next to food and stores so I was able to get food immediately. Nonetheless, i would definitely stay at the Inns of Virginia on my next trip to Washington.

“Excellent value - exactly what we wanted”

I was really pleased with the Inns of Virginia on Lee Hwy. Staff were curtious, rooms were clean and quiet, other guests were mostly families, retired people, and a few economy business travellers. Parking was convenient, stores were close, coffee machine, fridge and microwave in room worked fine. I managed to break the coffee pot and it was replaced with no quibbling. Reception door was locked after 11pm and staff buzzed you in. I felt safe and nice morning walks in adjoining neighborhood off Lincoln. Have already recommended to friends we were visiting in Arlington for other visitors.
