“Great place to stay!”
We enjoyed our stay here. They customer service was excellent, when we had questions they answered them and were very helpful, even recommended resturants for us to go to. The shuttle service was wonderful, although sometimes there was a bit of a wait during busy time, which is to be expected. They did have two shuttles running during very busy times. The breakfast was good, waffles, cold cereal, bagels, toast , muffins and pastry. Hours for breakfast were perfect. Pool was very nice enjoyed it every evening during our stay. We traveled with 4 adults and two children our suite was plenty big enough for all. Very nice suites. Clean and comfy beds. Housekeeping was great. Provided us with extra towels and toiletries we needed in a timely fashion. Many restaurants fairly close by the shuttle will take you to some of them and pick you up when you are finished. Short drive to a wider variety of restaurants. Nice area, felt safe the whole time we were there. Only dissappointment was that they don't have wireless internet. Other than that I think our stay here was wonderful.
“The best suites in the DC area”
Washington Suites rooms are spacious and comfortable. The surrounding area is great with the convenience of stores and restaurants close by.
“very impressed”
very nice suites, with fully equipped kitchen, front desk people were very nice. Would definitely stay here again.
“Great place”
Great place, Great area, Friendly helpful staff, For the price you can not ask for more but you will get it. I plan to go back.
“Good Deal for Your Money”
The first thing we noticed was how friendly and helpful the staff were at the front desk. Gave us good directions. The Studio Suite was large, clean and comfortable with a full sized, fully equipped kitchen. Nice clean pool. Had a very good dinner in the restaurant. There was some type of function going on in the restaurant and it was a little loud. Convenient to the major highways into Washington and all areas of Alexandria. One personal complaint was the pillows were really soft. Overall, a great deal for the price.
“Hotel staff were very professional, helpful & friendly,”
Continue to maintain the high quality of staff you have.
“Great place to stay with Family”
If you want a great place to stay with lots of space, free internet, free continental breakfast and a free shuttle to the metro for visiting the sites in DC this place is it. Rooms have a kitchen so you can fix your own dinner if you want. The pool is seasonal so I can't tell you about it. We'd go back for sure.
“Very accomodating”
This is our second stay at the Washington Suites. We chose a larger room this time, and it appeared to be in the process of being renovated. There were no pictures on any of the walls. The toilet seat needed to be replaced. The kitchen had everything needed, but it was not as nice as the last room. The blankets have holes in them. BUT, on the plus side: The kitchen was clean; and well stocked if you wanted to cook or find a plate to eat off of. All the beds: sofa bed; roll-away bed and the double beds in the bedroom were all comfortable. We asked for more blankets and towels and they came right away. I knew from before that they were renovating, and our last room was top notch. So, I am figuring the things that bugged me were in the process of being repaired; or replaced. As far as the shuttle service and other services, we found we used everything that was offered when we stayed before Monday - Friday. On this weekend visit, we did not use the offered facilities. On an overnight stay the shuttle; internet; newspaper, pool, etc are not necessary. All in all I would be willing to go back for a weekday stay, I might consider something plainer for a weekend.
“convenient to DC”
Our room was clean, comfortable, and appealing to the eye. The only drawback of the room was that the bathroom was tiny and did not have any counterspace/vanity. This hotel offers a free and convenient shuttle service to the Van Dorn Metro station making it easy to visit D.C. The hotel restaurant - Duke's, was a great restaurant for a hotel. The prices were moderate and the food was good with a wide variety. I recommend the chicken marsala. Very attentive waitresses as well. Also, it was an easy drive from the hotel to Old Town Alexandria which is a very quaint colonial town to visit with shops, restaurants, and waterfront. Our family agreed that we would stay here again if ever visiting D.C.
“Unbelieveable Views, Staff, and Environment”
This hotel is perfect for families on vacation and folks wanting to be near Washington DC and wanting to have a comfortable distance to the city and enjoy the comforts of home. The room was kept in tip-top shape. No detail was overlooked! Staff was friendly and family focused- but a bit anxious with little children playing in the lobby. I would go back!
