“Will stay there again.”
Had a very nice stay. Staff very friendly and price was reasonable.
“loved this hotel”
excellent customer service. very handicap accessible, except the wheelchair would not fit through our room door. it was fine because my father could walk the rest of the way inside. loved the lanai and view of the city and partial view of the ocean. close to everything we wanted to see. couldn't find a handicap accessible entrance to the pool, but i didn't look too hard. i'm sure the hotel would have helped us out. clean hotel through and through. very friendly and helpful staff. we would definitely stay here again. aloha.
“Very nice hotel”
I had no problems with this hotel, the staff was friendly and helpful. The only suggestions I would make is that they look into soundproofing because you can really hear people in the hallway and sometimes the TV next door!
“Great location at a budget price!”
This property is part of the Outrigger chain, and I have stayed in many of their properties. The price and location is amazing. I would definitely stay here again. We had a small (2 rm) suite on the 19th floor with views of the ocean, mountains and International Marketplace. Shopping was within a few steps of the door and eateries within a half block. They also have a free trolley that will transport you all around the Waikiki area. You also can catch the buss accross the street that will literally take you all over the island!
“Great inexpensive hotel. Best location for the money”
Awesome hotel if you aren't looking for luxury.
“Good Quality for the Price”
We stayed there for a week. The staff was very friendly. The room was really clean.
“Would definitely stay again”
I have stayed here several times and the staff are wonderful. The hotel is in the perfect location and just has a really lovely feel.
“Great hotel with easy access to beach, shopping, & restaurants”
Hotel was great in every way! The front desk attendant and bellman went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Front desk attendant offered us a room on a high floor with ocean view and bellman suggested several great restaurants in the area where the "locals" go. Room was quiet and clean. Housekeeping even left extra set of towels! The only possible downfall is that pool area is half shaded during afternoons. Great location within a few minutes walking distance to everything. We will stay there again on our next visit.
“More Than I Expected”
I was extremely pleased with OHANA East hotel, with one exception. That would be the construction/remodeling that was taking place. While they did schedule it to take place during the daytime hours when most people are out of the hotel, it was TERRIBLY ANNNOYING if you wanted to take a nap. The front desk staff did accomodate our request for a different room and moved us from the 5th floor to the 14th floor. This alleviated a little of the 'annoyance factor' but it was still miserable when they were working. The noise of hammering and concrete drilling traveled through the 'skeleton' of the building and NO place was immune. (Even outside by the pool). Would I use this hotel again? YES, in a heartbeat! But only IF the remodeling was done. Above and beyond friendly service. Continental breakfast (of sorts) was complimentary and unexpected and very good. 5 Star service from all the staff and always with a smile and a laugh. The bathroom was a little small in the Kitchenette Room. The shower (only) door was situated next to the sink and would only open about 20-22 inches. If you are a large person, stay away from the Kitchenette rooms. (I don;t know about the others). However the water pressure and temperature were wonderful.
“Great room, great price, great location”
We had a great stay in April, 2009. Loved the location which was convenient to Diamond Head Crater and Waikiki.
