“close to the beach”
This condo was terrific and is 1/4 block from the Waikiki beach. All the shops are right there as is the bus. It is a old building and consequently so is the condo but it was great for us 2. The kitchen was self-contained and the amenities all functioned. Free telephone calls to Canada and US mainland was a nice bonus. Bed wasn't very comfortable as it is a older mattress and had a vinyl mattress cover on it. We would stay here again if we ever went back to Waikiki but the North Shore is the place to be!
“Not the Hilton but a great value”
Ok, first I want to say we really had a great 8 day stay in Waikiki and having this condo (#64) was one of the reasons. While looking at all our options before booking this vacation we decided a condo would save money by enabling us to eat in and make our own lunches to throw in our packs and go. We went online and found Seashore Vacation Rentals and viewed video of the rooms they had to offer. We read reviews of this and other similar condos and found that every room in Waikiki is SMALL and most complain about ants. We Google Earthed the front of this building and saw that it was old, dated and a little run down. What I'm saying is, we did our homework before hand so there were no surprises when we arrived, (well, almost). I would highly recommend doing your research for anyone wanting to stay here or anywhere else for that matter. The location was great, one block to the beach (about 2 min walk from room to beach), very short walks to most other good locations we wanted to enjoy, and bus pickup for most tours were right outside our door. We had a tiny view of the ocean from the lanai which was a pleasant surprise. They had plenty snorkel gear to use, as well as. beach chairs and beach towels in the closet. The condo has a hair dryer, iron, ironing board, blender, pots, pans, glasses, dishes. All in all we had a great time and would definitely stay there again for all the convenience it has to offer..
“Good Value”
Right in the heart of Waikiki. CLose to everything you'll want to do. Smaller than I thought it would be, but still comfortable. Condo itself is in a little bit rough shape, but it's worth to be so close to the beach. Can see it from your porch! WOuld stay there again
“It's really at the seashore”
Pro: Great location. Just one block to the beach. It provide surf board, so you don't need to bring your own. There is no room service, but you can stay like home. Cons: The air conditioner is loud. I have to turn it off at night. There is ants in the kitchen, probably because of the food provided by the owner such as popcorn.
“I would definitely stay there again!”
Great, affordable place to stay. Incredibly convenient location. If I ever go to Honolulu again, I will book the same condo without hesitation. The only downside to the place was the noise coming from the street where a lot of tour buses parked in the evenings and early mornings. But at the same time if you plan on going on any of these Honolulu tours, the bus will pick you up practically from the front of the Seashore building.
“Home Away From Home”
If you are looking for all the amenities of home with some; but not all of the services and luxuries of a hotel, this is the place to stay. This quiet, secure location is convenient to the beaches, restaurants and other attractions.
“This place is ideal for someone wanting to rent an apartment or a flat. no hotel ammenities.”
The apartment is very close to the beach and shops, economically friendly, could be a bit cleaner.
“The Seashore”
This is an older building, but it was clean. It was extremely well located and made it very convenient to the Waikiki strip. The beach was literally less than a 5 minute walk from doorstep to shore. The condo had everything you could think of to need while away from home from a first aid kit to games and everything in the kitchen. However, the toaster wasn't functioning and the bed wasn't the most comfortable. Overall, I would recommend anyone here who wants an affordable place to stay that is ideally located. I came to Hawaii not to stay in a room, but to see all it has to offer.
“be aware of the additional charge for cleaning”
This is not a regular hotel. The ownder of the apartment rent her room for the visitors.. The rent is not really bad.. The location is not bad and the room is quite small. But there is cleaning fee of $75-$100.. (and plus deposit). With additional $75-100, you could stay at the better hotel with larger room and only a few bucks for the cleaning lady. The check-in procedure was kind of complicated and the last day, the owner started calling me from 7:30 in the morning, asking when I am going to leave.. Just across the street there are a lot of better hotels with better service.
“Don't spend your vacation here.”
This is not a hotel and no services were available. There is no desk and no staff. This a condo and is very small and unsafe. We moved from here after one night. We might suggest it for backpackers needing a break but not for a vacation experience.
