“Not fancy, but very clean and a great place for a very comfortable, very quiet rest”

I was traveling by myself. I am a divorced woman, aged 54. I am very glad that Expedia made a reservation for me at this inn during the 4 nights and 4+ days of my "mini-vacation"/pre-moving trip, when I needed to have a nice, very safe and secure place in the greater San Francisco Bay area to rest and "regroup" when I wasn't out checking on apartments rentals. I was able to get free wireless internet service at the Inn, as well as free use of their fax, day and night. I was also very grateful for the excellent, complimentary coffee and muffins provided in the morning, from 6 a.m. till 9 a.m. The employees were very nice at America's Best Value Inn and maid service was available every day, if desired, unless you put the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. It was a very quiet place and I slept better there than I have for months. The heating and cooling system in the room worked perfectly. I highly recommend this Inn to others who want a nice and secure, but not fancy place to stay in the Hayward area.

Stayed in this hotel for a few weeks. It was good for the price. Location near plenty of restaurants and other shops. I would stay again if in the area.

“Nice, cheap hotel”

I was expecting something a lot less than what I got. The hotel was clean, close to a lot of restaurants, room was big and clean. I found the price to be extremely cheap and it made my travel trip very pleasant. If you are on a business trip, I highly recommend this one, can't beat the price.

Staff was able to change my reservation a day early without penalty. Inn is very affordable and convenient to freeways, places to eat, etc. Thank you Expedia for the special deal at the time of reservation. Will go back to this inn again!

“Stupid I-880 ruined my trip!”

The room was perfect. Much better than I had expected. Our room had a hair dryer. Only complaint I would have is not really about the hotel. It is about getting to the hotel. If you plan on getting to your room past midnight like most travellers do, you might find that the I-880 is closed off for road maintenence. And like most travellers who depend on their GPS, you don't know a way around it. My GPS only knows one route to the hotel and it is thru the I-880. Getting out of your car at midnight in an Oakland suburb to ask for directions isn't the best of ideas. Anyways, the road block is from midnight to 4am so there was a night where my gf and I actually slept in our car until 4am. But other than that, I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I knew with the price that this was not going to be the "Ritz". It served our purpose and was what I expected it to be.

“Police activity 2 of the 4 nights I was there. Not impressed.”

Room was decent, in decent shape, free internet is always nice. No hair dryer in the room, which is something that I've grown accustomed to when staying away from home. Location is great as it is just off the freeway, many shops, restaurants, and movie theatre very close by!
