“"Old School Revisited"”

There is nothing modern by todays standard at this motel. However it is nestled by a beautiful lake. The room was clean and had everything I needed for a good nights sleep. Bathroom was spotless, but could use a shelf or two. No place to place bath essentials and toiletries.

“Lovely people. Nice view. Great price for a clean, average room.”

The only downfall with staying here was the fact that the lakeside rooms are right next to a shared dock for the community, which was a little run down. We never had problems though and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The room was nice, average. Great price for the quality. Close to both Cooperstown and Oneonta. I will go there again.

Near to where I had a consultant job. Worked out great.

“Perfectly Acceptable”

Very clean with friendly helpful staff. We would certainly book again when in the area. The lake was so enticing; even in the snow.

“Nice, clean, comfortable, and affordable hotel”

This hotel and the service were a welcome alternative to others in the area charging twice the price. A great night's sleep, with everything we needed to be comfortable. Clean and well kept, it did the job nicely.

“Mixed Feelings”

The hotel was overpriced considering it's age and condition. The computer in the lobby is ancient and the wireless network is virtually useless from the room or even from the lobby. It would be better not to offer such a "service" when it is this poor. The staff, however, was very nice and helpful.

“Not what I expected”

The price was WAY too much for this very small room. The refrigerator was a small minibar type and did not cool sufficiently. Ice was not available near the room. Had to drive our car up to the main office to get ice. Bathroom had nice tile, but there was NO shelf anywhere in the bathroom to put a hairbrush or makeup on. It was a sink only, no counter top whatsoever. It was a connecting room and we could hear everything that was going on in the next room. The only thing that was good was the lakeview. We did not utilize any of the water sports, just used the room as a sleeping space. Small. No closet at all. Just some hooks on the wall. The only plus I saw was that it had free WiFi. Would not stay there again.
