This Howard Johnson is literally across the street from Disneyland® Resort. The hotel, built in 1965, contains 7 buildings from 2 to 7 stories high, and is a favorite with families and vacationers attracted to spacious rooms and reliable service. Some of the upper rooms that face the theme park offer primetime views of evening fireworks displays (on Friday and Saturday evenings in the off-season and nightly during the summer).
Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel Anaheim Resort buildings are separated by beautifully landscaped courtyards, affording privacy as well as lots of room for families to linger and kids to run around. The Castaway Cove pirate-themed water playground, Speedy's Sprayground children's pool area, and Garden Pool, provide outdoor water recreation for guests of all ages. The 7-acre Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel Anaheim Resort offers 2 separate recreation areas to house its water features. Castaway Cove, the pirate-themed water playground, includes a 30-foot pirate ship (with attendant), a 300-gallon drench bucket, slides, fountains, and water cannons. This area also includes Speedy's Sprayground with a children's pool, fountain play area, and a 15-person spa tub with foot jets.
The Garden Pool, set on another part of the property, offers a heated pool surrounded by gardens, a sundeck, and lounge chairs. Fresh towels are provided at the Garden Pool and at Castaway Cove.

“Great beds and close to Disney.”
very comfortable beds and very close to dining and disneyland.
“Love it!”
Fabulous and affordable place to stay for the kids and whole family. It was our first time staying there, cause couldn't afford to stay on Disneyland property, and would definitely stay there again in the near future. The walk to Disney literally took us only 10 min. There are plenty of places to eat around Howard Johnson, if you don't feel like forking up 10 dollars for a burger at Disneyland. Howard johnson and the surrounding areas are amazingly clean, and safe to walk. Once you stay here, you will never want to go back to Disney resorts.
“Loved this hotel! Very kid friendly:)”
We really enjoyed this hotel! The walk to Disneyland is short and we loved the water park on the grounds and the big hot tub. The only thing we did not like was no microwave. If you are on a budget, eating out can get expensive, but there was a fridge and the beds were comfortable. One last thing though, If you want to sleep after the sun comes up then don't stay on the top floors because they have two LARGE uncovered windows up high and my kids were up at 6:40 every morning. It was too bright!

Every time I visit Disneyland, this is my first choice for accomodations.

Excellent hotel for families visiting Anaheim. We had a premium queen Disney view room. The fireworks display was awesome from our room.
“Great for Families going to Disneyland”
Very walkable distance to Disneyland. The maid service was great, on the one day we left the room a little later, she called to verify that we wanted service that day. The pools were great. The room was very large, which was helpful since we had one child sleeping on the floor, we were able to set up an air mattress and it was not in the way. On our last day we discovered we locked the keys in the truck and the staff was very helpful in helping us out. I highly recommend this hotel for travelers who are families going to Disneyland.

Very comfortable walk to Disneyland. The two pools were very good. Free parking was good. Staff very helpful. Shop downstairs very handy (but expensive). Easy drive to WalMart, Honda Centre, Freeway.
“Nicer than most”
Although this hotel didnt have as high of star rating, it is much nicer than others that I've stayed out in the area. I've noticed most show pictures of really nice lobbies and the hotel is a rundown dump. This is true for the Menage that we stayed at last time- (beautiful lobby, stinky old room.) I would difinately choose this Howard Johnson again and it is really close to Disney as well as a buch of restuarants within walking distance.

what a great hotel!The staff were, Always willing to help and the gift shop is very reasonable. I will be back for sure. Had a blast and walking distance from disney land and McDonalds..
