Situated on 24 acres opposite Universal Orlando Resort, the hotel offers a heated outdoor pool, spa tub, children's pool, and a game room. A fitness room overlooks the pool. Complimentary scheduled shuttles serve Universal Orlando, SeaWorld, and Wet ‘n Wild from early morning to late evening. Shuttles to other attractions are available upon request (surcharge).
The Doubletree has 60,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including an exhibition area, a large ballroom, and 32 breakout rooms, as well as a self-service business center with fax machine and high-speed Internet access. The property also features complimentary wireless Internet access and laundry facilities.
Rooms
This Florida hotel has 742 guestrooms on 18 floors in two mirrored towers. Floor-to-ceiling windows brighten rooms that feature Sweet Dreams® by Doubletree Sleep Experience beds which include plush-top mattresses that are triple-sheeted with high-thread-count linens; down comforters; and a supply of jumbo pillows.
Also provided are desks and chairs, armchairs, wireless Internet access (surcharge), 32-inch flat-screen TVs with cable, in-room safes (surcharge), and compact refrigerators.

Pompano's - This casual restaurant offers buffet and menu items for breakfast, as well as a lunch and dinner menu ranging from salads and sandwiches to steaks and seafood.
Palm Court - On-the-go dining selections, such as Pizza Hut, for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Carnivale Café - Bar and restaurant offering a seafood raw bar, grilled selections, gourmet burgers, and brochettes. Open for dinner.
Recreation
A heated outdoor pool, children's pool, spa tub, and game room are offered on site. The fitness room, overlooking the pool, has two treadmills, weight machines, and two bicycles.

“first time@theme park,5 star experience!”
Really helpful and friendly staff. Very conveniently located to Universal walking distance, nice large pool.
“Great for Universal & Islands of Adventure”
I only stayed for 2 nights, puerly for Islands of adventure so I couldnt say how good the location is for other attractions. The room is a good size, clean and staff are nice. A bus pick up can be aranged for as early as 8.25 to the theme parks. The only problem I had was (and I was aware of the last bus pick up) I stayed untill the park closed...infact later than it officialy closed, so there was no bus for me back to the hotel. But it only cost $5 to get back in a cab.

Hotel is very clean and convenient to Universal Studios. One of the drawbacks is the shuttle runs 3 times in the morning and 3 times from 6:05-7:05PM back from Universal. Starbucks is located in the hotel as well as a breakfast place. The food court was under renovation., However there are lots of restaurants within walking distance. Another drawback is you must pay for parking
“Universal Studio”
It was a nice hotel...to bring kids to. Very close to Universal Studios. Hotel was decorated nicely for Christmas. has an on site Starbucks. Breakfast is not included.

Very nice hotel and room. Very convenient - across the street from Universal Studios. We got a free breakfast which was a buffet and it was very good.

great hotel and staff. It was a little cold in the room but I know most people like it cold, I just couldnt turn it up
“Hightly recommended”
Except for our bad timing as we stayed the weekend of Katrina.....we had a wonderful stay here and would high recommend this hotel to travelers. It is extremely convenient to Universal Adventures and City walk. A Walgreens and a TGIF is within walking distance so the entire weekend is a "gas" saver. My only negative would be the hotel charges 5.00$ per day to self-park your car. I would assume parking would not usually be an additional charge.
“Beautiful Hotel”
Professional employees, great service, comfortable beds and pillows. (I think I'll look for those pillows and mattress for my own home.)We will definitely return.
“You WILL NOT be dissappointed”
This hotel IS literally at the entrance to Universal. Close to shopping, restaurants, and right off I-4. The staff was more than great. Room was a typical-sized room, but was spacious ( we had 2 queen-sized beds), The beds were the most-comfortable we've ever slept in at a hotel. We even ordered the same pillows off the internet when we got home, they were that comfortable. The parking lot was huge and right at the front door. I would definitely reccommend this hotel to friends and family. The bellboy was very cute.
