“Great Place to Stay”

We stayed in the tower part of the complex. The rooms and hotel staff were great. I would recommed it to anyone. The only area for improvment would be the restaurant and bar. The food was only fair with a limited "bar" menu and the bar closed early but don't let that keep you away. There are other restaurants in Orlando.

“Great value”

Great value...rate from Expedia was $50 leass per nite then the convention's rate. Interior 1st floor room was quiet & clean. In room safe too small for my laptop. At a trolley stop with great limo & taxi service. Limited dining options in walking distance.

“Great Hotel, Great Location”

This hotel was in the perfect location to experience all of the exciting attractions in Orlando. It is in walking distance to Sea World and the Convention Center. The Hotel itself is very clean and well kept. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a reasonable price with a great location.

“"Worldly Experience"”

I took my son the Orlando, Florida in June of 2010. It was one of the greatest experiences we have had. The city is truly alot more than just Disney, SeaWorld, and Universal Studio's. Everywhere you look is beautiful plant life. The people you met are always nice. I didn't meet not one person in the line of serivce that didn't love their job. People were patient and kind. I would visit again and again. Our stay at the Doubletree was great. The help was great. xzczfe

“Great value for convention venue”

This hotel is a few blocks from the convention center. Not a bad walk, in my opinion, and shorter than the walk you may have once you are inside the huge convention center! And this room was 1/3 to 1/4 the price of the closer luxury hotels. They are working hard to renovate this old resort motel. I got a room in the newer tower this time and it was exceptionally nice. I can't say enough good about it. Some wings of the old 2-story motel are closed and under renovation. I can't reports on the older wings that are open. I think the ones that are open have all been recently renovated. A friend reported that the restaurant was nothing to boast about but I usually try to avoid hotel restaurants anyway. The staff was always pleasant and helpful during my stay.

“Perfect for Sea World”

Very comfortable hotel with direct access to both Sea World and Aquatica (5mins walk to both). We were upgraded to a kitchenette room which was great - better than the Hard Rock Universal Orlando room we had just left! Hotel itself needs some work - in process of painting etc. Very typical of island hotels - 3 lovely pools with hot tubs, lots to do, loads of outdoor space. Would definitely stay there again. The I trolley stop is outside the hotel so gives you access to all I Drive has to offer. Needed because it is a bit out of the way from everywhere! Opposite Village Inn if that helps people locate it. Bellmen are very slow! The bags were taken out of the taxi ok, but then we had to wait around for someone to bring them to our room. They didn't offer direct delivery. All in all fantastic value for money! As I said, room much better than other hotels I've stayed in in Orlando.
