“Excellent location/staff”
This hotel is easy to find, very clean, accessible to the trains, and the staff was wonderful. The staff even helped us find someone in Osaka that my father had met in Hawaii 15 years ago and helped translate a phone call so we could meet with the gentleman! Very lovely hotel! Made our first visit to Japan very enjoyable.
“Very good value for your money”
* The location is excellent (70minutes train ride from Kansai airport, loads of shops and restaurants, 5 minutes walk to Osaka castle park, very quiet as it is in Osaka business park, lovely view in the night) * very clean, friendly and helpful staff (all our requests such as an extention lead and extra coat hungers were met) * nice spa (we've been given 24hour free passes having paid once) * very clean and comfortable bed/room * Only down side was no English channel on TV
“excellent deal”
Great deal for the price. Nice business hotel located near Osaka castle. Not that close to main entertainment areas, but subways make everything close and convienent.
“Hotel Monterey La Soeur Osaka”
The La Soeur is a lovely hotel, connected to a train station (via covered walkways) and near a large grocery store. It is within walking distance to Osaka Castle. The rooms are small by western standards, but clean and comfortable. The art deco theme in the lobby, antiques and art collection are worth notice. This is a great hotel for those looking for a base from which to take day trips.

I found this hotel was in a great location,with an easy to walk to trains and shops, also in walking distance to the Osaka Castle which is definatly worth a look.

“Great stay”
Great location (5minutes walk from Kyobashi station). There plenty of restaurants and stores around that area.
“Close to trains, clean and comfortable”
We spent three nights at this hotel. The hotel is conveniently located near the JR Kyobashi Station, on the Osaka loop. There are a few eating places in the area, you just have to hunt them out. The room was quite reasonably sized and had a view. The bathroom was roomy and elegant. The floor is hardwood which I liked. There is high speed wired internet in the room. Osaka Castle is about a 15 minute walk away. The hotel staff were friendly and spoke OK English. We didnt find much English speaking in Osaka at all, not like other places in Japan we visited. The beds were comfortable but the pillows were hard with bits of what appeared to be wheat inside them. Also, like most places in Japan, you only get one pillow each but you can always ask for more. I would definitely recommend this hotel for its location to the station and its comfort. Just dont try to cash a travellers cheque here. They wont accept them.
“Very friendly service”
I give the staffs of this hotel 2 thumbs up! They speak english fluently, very polite and friendly! I needed some infos about the places that I needed to go to, and they were nice to pull out some maps and infos how to get there. The room that I stayed in was just the right size, very clean, and functionable. The hotel is located in the heart of the city...so restaurants and other places are just close by (some walking distance!).
“Small, but clean room - great part of town”
The room was described as a semi-double, which was a great way of describing a double bed in a single room! Perhaps the room layout could have been better, but it was spotless, so no issues there. The hotel is in the Business Park, so has trendy shops a restuarants next door, and next to the station you have the usual crazy mix of bars and restaurants so you definately won't go hungry!
