“Good Hotel”
Good all around hotel. Breakfast was excellent. Conveniently located to train station and ferry docks.
“Nothing to complain about”
This hotel is in a very good location for train travellers and very easily accessible to all city attractions. The room was spotless and comfortable. Staff were friendly and efficient. The breakfast was amongst the best I have ever been offered.
“convenient to central train station”
the rooms were cozy and although small it was well laid out (no wasted space). i thought the staff was friendly and helpful. one of the ladies offered great suggestions for places to get an afternoon drink in the city. will definitely return on next visit to oslo.
“Decent Hotel”
Hotel: Fine (too many random steps as is common in oslo) Service: Very decent -- reception always picked up quickly when we had questions and were very helpful. Location: Good and bad; good because it's right by the central station and within walking distance of many touristy things. Bad because it's right by a lot of the night life and some rooms can be loud. Overall: We've stayed in other hotels, but we'll probably be back to the Rica.
“Rica Oslo Hotel”
The hotel was exactly opposite the central train station, close to supermarket and restaurants. A bit of construction going on outside but didnt hear the noise. It was comforatable in an expensive city. It was exactly as described.
“Not impressed, but mark 4 of 5 can be given and (important!) rather cheap for the expensive country”
We stayed 3 days in winter and there was not "very hot" in our room (God thanks we were together!). Receptionist (sweet guy) explained that norwegians like such "fresh" air and even in winter ask for room with window can be open... The hotel is not very good but the price for really expensive country was reasonable
“Great location - next to train station, excellent service, nice roomy rooms”
My wife and I sayed at this hotel twice recently and were very pleased with the location, conditiion of the room and service offered by the hotel. They have a very extensive breakfast buffet that was included in the price of the room. One slight problem to be aware of is that rooms facing Karl Johans Gate may be subject to noise from people in the street until late at night. The windows are double pane and tight but you still pick up some noise. If this is a potential bother, ask for an inside room. We would definitely stay there again.

Airport to hotel by train or bus is cheap and easy. Beds a little soft and no air conditioning.
“Easily accessible”
This hotel is across from the main station, has an entry to the subway right outside the front door, the tram and buses on the streets around the hotel. You can get all over Oslo quickly. Hotel front desk staff is very helpful.
“Immediately across the street from Oslo Central Station!”
We took a train from Bergen to Oslo, arriving at 11:30 pm with lots of luggage. The hotel is directly opposite the train station and could not have been more convenient. The rooms are a bit old and in need of refurbishment, but it was quiet and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast buffet (included in the price) was good and the coffee was even better. The staff at the front desk were very helpful. I'd stay there again.
