“Well impressed”
Tidy, comfortable hotel, cracking breakfast, friendly staff. Would definately return again.
“AN IDEAL SOLUTION”
I only needed a bed for the night; I was back in my home town to catch up with friends. Easington House provided a warm welcome , a comfortable bed and the convenience I needed - to come back in late and to exit early. My room was small [ I chose to book just a single ] but it contained every amenity. It was good value and I would gladly recommend Easington House to anyone that wants more personality than a Premier/Holiday/Comfort Inn style .
“Clean and welcoming”
Nice welcome on arrival. We were a late booking and stayed in room 12 at the top. ( up two fights so not for the faint hearted) The room was very clean and comfortable. Overall good value for money , a great B and B. Great service at breakfast , cereal , fruit juice , a full English if you want it or other choices available. Unable to comment on the new restaurant or afternoon tea but.if the breakfast is anything to go by these options should be considered. Nearby theree is a good choice of eating places. Parking is available at the rear. Very impressed with this establishment, the facilities and staff made for an enjoyable stay.
“Breakfast was nice.”
I was disappointed with my stay at this guesthouse as I had paid top notch price. The smell of the room was unbearable - so much so I do not know how I spent 2 nights there. If I had of had the choice I would have gone somewhere else for the second night. The smell must have come from the furnishings as it was a stale smell. I could not wait for the second night to end. I was really glad to leave. I cannot complain about cleanlines as the room was clean and the bathroom very clean. The breakfast was nice and orderly - and breakfast order was taken quite promptly by waitress and promptly arrived. All in all if the room I had stayed in was a bit nicer and did not have a very bad smell that kept me awake then all would have been fine.
“"Living in a Box" by Living in a Box”
Our room was compact to say the least (remember the record "Living in a Box" by Living in a Box?# limited hanging space and suitable for nothing more than an overnight stay - which fortunately is what we booked for. Don't know if there are larger rooms and if we'd have got one if we were staying longer. I'd not be comfortable in this room if I was on a business trip and needed to do work in the evening. Bathroom was very very cramped. That said the room and bathroom were very clean #acid test - shirting and tops of picture frames#, likewise towels and linen. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast #included# was fine. The notices on the complementary shampoo and shower gel were a bit O.T.T when a simple "Please Do Not Remove" would have sufficed. Given our experience of the size of our room I'd recommend this Guest House for nothing more than an overnight holiday stay. If not for the size of the room I'd have rated the Guest House a good 4.
“Bad vibes in banbury”
Locked out until 4-o' clock in the afternoon. |Note on door telling us to go for a walk into Banbury, and come back later. It was raining, we were tired after a 3 hour journey, we wanted a cup of tea, and the loo, instead of which we had to troll round Banbury, umbrellas up, getting wet and miserable for one and a half hours. Shoebox sized room, not even big enough to put a chair in. Poor lighting, Couldn't read in either the bed room or the lounge - all bulbs had been removed from the lounge central light, leaving 2 standard lamps with low powered energy saving bulbs in them. . Poor service at breakfast, Had to wait 40 minutes for our breakfast, waitress completely ignored us.Had dinner in a hotel across the road which was bright, warm and welcoming. Stayed there for the entire evening. Had I not already paid for the Easington we would have walked out. Don't go!
