“A lovely spot in Palermo”
The hotel is beautiful, in an excellent location and the staff was friendly and not at all pretentious. Breakfast included international and local foods and the restaurant on the top has a great view over Palermo. I would definitely recommend it and stay there again myself!
“First time in Palermo”
It was great to book this hotel through Expedia and it eased any worries I might have had otherwise. The hotel was very nice, the staff was extremely helpful and the location was excellent. If I ever return to Palermo I would definitely stay in this hotel again.
“An excellent base for Palermo and the surrounding area”
The hotel is situated in the very centre of Palermo, near all the historic sites and the main shopping areas. There are several good quality retaurants nearby, but meals in the hotel are rather expensive. The breakfast offers everything you could possibly need before a busy day of sightseeing. Palermo's impressive cathedral is on the same street as the hotel, and from there it is a short walk to the other sites in Norman Palermo. The hotel staff are friendly and welcoming and all speak very good English. They are only too pleased to supply visitors with maps and timetables for buses and trains. Lounge areas are clean and comfortable, and the room allocated to us was one of the best I have ever stayed in. Apart from the bedroom, there was a separate sitting room. Both had French windows opening onto a sunny balcony. I would certainly recommend this hotel to any traveller. We used the cheap and regular public transport to travel outside the city limits, and this is well worthwhile.
“Essence of Palermo”
Its a charming hotel, brilliantly located in the heart of the old quarter, close to the major sights and also close enough to the railway station to be able to walk. The quiet grandeur of the hotel echos the atmosphere and history of Palermo so continues the Palmiternian experience. I would happily return to the Centrale Palace and Palermo.
“Beautiful...Sicilian Style”
I truly enjoyed my stay. The buffet breakfast was the best I experienced during my 9 day trip around Sicily. The room was very nice and clean. Staff was pleasant and helpful. I loved that I gave my car keys and didn't have to think about it until departure at which time my car was waiting for me in 5 minutes. Great location to walk to the beach, some of the sites or catch transportation for tours. Beautiful roof top terrace. My only negative comment is that I could smell the oil cooking from the hotel restaurant. I was on the 4th floor, same as the restaurant, so this may have potentiated the smell however with it appears all the rooms have windows which open to a courtyard and thus the smells can freely move up or down to any floor.
“Centrale Palace Best Location in Palermo”
Great place to stay in Palermo!
“Good hotel in central Palermo”
Efficient valet parking, central location at 4 Canti, fine building well maintained, good breakfast. Recommendable.
“TAORMINA'S GEM”
This beautiful luxury hotel lives up to it's reputation and surpasses it. This is the true epitome of LUXURY! From the moment you arrive you are treated like royalty. The rooms and baths are beautifully appointed. The owner and his staff are warm and welcoming and knowledgeable. You can walk to everywhere from this location and take the bus or tram to the beach. This was our favorite hotel of our entire trip and we would love to return!
“Very nice hotel in a great city”
Nice hotel, great location.
“Good hotel in chaotic palermo”
Location couldnt be better,Centre of Palermo Safe.Outside is the chaos of Palermo.Inside the hotel is quiet.Nice lounge areas,Helpful staff who all speak fluent English.Barman was particularly helpful and friendly.Breakfast was not particularly exciting but perfectly adequate Make sure you see the chapel at the Norman castle for absolutely incredible mosaics. Palermo is noisy and dirty but not without interest.

Area:
Palermo, Italy: Sicilys capital stands on a curved bay at the foot of Monte Pellegrino. Its a chaotic, ebullient place with masses to see. Puppet theatre, street markets and marzipan fruits are typical Palermo treats. Get your bearings at a major intersection, the Quattro Canti. Dont miss the superb mosaics in the Cappella Palatina, or Serpottas stuccowork in the city churches. The mummified corpses in the Capuchin catacombs are the stuff of nightmares.
