Built in 1957 by actors/producers Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball as a star-studded weekend getaway, the Indian Wells Resort Hotel is spread over four acres near the Santa Rosa foothills. Downtown Palm Springs is within 16 miles.
This desert hotel has 18,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, including three distinctive ballrooms and three smaller meeting spaces. Hotel-wide wireless Internet access is complimentary, and two lobby computers provide complimentary high-speed Internet access.
Also complimentary are a daily Continental breakfast and shuttle service to and from the Indian Wells Country Club and the Golf Resort at Indian Wells.
Guests dine in the Mediterranean-style Loren restaurant and enjoy live entertainment in a sports bar that offers nightly happy hours.
Rooms
All 155 nonsmoking guestrooms at the Indian Wells Resort Hotel offer unfurnished balconies or patios with views of the city, desert, mountains, or golf course. Beds feature quilted pillowtop mattresses. Marble bathrooms have makeup/shaving mirrors, bathrobes, and gold-and-bronze accents.
Rooms also provide complimentary wireless Internet access, minibars, coffeemakers, and in-room safes. Some have flat-screen TVs; all offer cable/satellite TV with pay movies. Suites include private bedrooms, half-baths, and master bathrooms with telephones, sunken tubs, separate oversized showers, and double vanities.

A complimentary Continental breakfast that includes breakfast breads, cereals, yogurt, fruit, coffee, tea, and juice is provided each morning in Loren restaurant.
Loren - Mediterranean-influenced decor, with views of the lobby grotto and outdoor pool. Full breakfast menu available. Continental cuisine. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner served.
Frank's Place - Sports bar located off the lobby. Fireplace. Large flat-screen TV. A happy hour is provided each evening from 4:30 PM-6 PM (hours subject to change without notice). Live entertainment Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 6 PM - 9:30 PM (September through May). Open from late afternoon to late evening.
Palm Terrace - Poolside bar overlooking the 11th green of Indian Wells Country Club. Cocktails, sandwiches, salads, and snacks served. Seasonal hours.
Entertainment
Singing and Celebrating the Legacy of Sinatra, Martin and The Great American Song Book Every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 5:30pm-9:30pm in Frank's Place.
Recreation
Guests enjoy an outdoor pool, spa tub, and two tennis courts. The complimentary fitness center includes two treadmills, two stationary bikes, a stair machine, an elliptical trainer, free weights, a multi-use weight bench, and other equipment. Hotel staff can arrange equipment rentals and tee times for dozens of area courses.
In addition to golf and tennis, the Indian Wells area offers hiking trails, four-wheel-drive tours, hot-air-balloon excursions, mountain biking, and horse riding.

“TENNIS TOURNAMENT HOTEL SITE”
rooms a little noisy. NEED to stay on top floor because we could hear the people above us walking around. Plus need to update the entertainment. Lounge singer was lip singing over Frank Sinatra's CD's. Not cool!
“Nice hotel”
I would definitely come back to this hotel but bring my own pillow. The pilows in my room were vey small, lumpy and smelly. I had to place a bath towel over the pillows to get a good sleep. The smell was overwhelming.

This hotel is really nice and the pool has plenty of lawn chairs and an outdoor bar. The restaurant is better for older people but everything else in the hotel makes up for it!!

I traveled toPalm Springs for a work conference and opted to stay at the Indian Wells Resort. It is an older hotel with a lot of great history behind it and that is what drew me in. The front desk staff were great, extremely friendly and helpful, my hotel room was clean and comfortable and the grounds well kept. Thursday thru Saturday nights they offer live music in Jake's Bar, which is at the entrance of the hotel. You can make reservations for a small fee, sit have a drink and some dinner and enjoy the live entertainment. I didn't have a chance to use the pool, but it looked very inviting. Every morning they offer a complimentary breakfast buffet - simple but filling. The hotel is across the street from the Hyatt Grand Resort and maybe a 5 mnute walk, or, the hotel does offer a free shuttle service. For those not renting a car, for $1.00, the 111 bus stops out front and will take you to the Westview shopping mall as well as a host of restaurants,
“History and Value as a Hotel”
Extremely great historic value of the hotel and art which depicts such. Great staff, and accomodations. For a person on a home away from home on business, this is the absolute ideal hotel.
“Wonderful & Friendly Service!”
Myself and my two sons, 11 year old twins had a fantastic trip & stay at the Indian Wells Resort hotel. We all enjoyed the pool & spa. The continental breakfast was very nice and the area was very beautiful. It is very close to the Living Desert (Zoo) which was a lot of fun for my boys. The staff & service was great and very friendly & helpful. We would definitely stay here again in the future! For the price it can't be beat!

Great smaller hotel. Perfect spot for hanging at the pool. Free parking and breakfast makes it a good deal for the price.
