“spacious, convenient, reasonable”
The units are large, with a private deck, and anything a traveler would need for overnight or for a week's stay. The double bathroom allows maxumum utility with plenty of privacy. My unit faced the outside of property, but the tree-lined border provided a beautiful view from the inside. It is clear the property was built in the 80's, with black kitchen cabinetry, but current aesthetics aside, the units are beautifully appointed. I had stayed at the Villas about a year ago, and could see impovements throughout. Upholstery and carpets have been upgraded and our hallway was being painted. The Villas are within walking distance of the Palm Springs Village, whcih makes its location just about perfect. The rates were quite reasonable and the property offers special lower rates from time to time. This time, though, a resort fee of $10.00 per night was assessed. This rubs me the wrong way. I would prefer to have that "fee" rolled into the nightly rate. All in all, the Marquis Villa is where I stay when I come to Palm Springs.
“1,000 SQUARE FEET, NO KIDDING!”
Know this up front: You will get lost within your own room -- it's that big! Sprawling living room and bedroom, even an enormous private deck that runs the length of your room. Full kitchen, 1-1/2 bathrooms and a bath-tub that will make you feel like royalty. Cindy on the front desk is the pefect hostess. If there is a single drawback, it's that there are not enough umbrellas poolside. You see one open up, you need to sprint for it.
“We'll be back next year!!”
The hotel was beautiful! Our room was a suite and it accomodated the three of us perfectly. The 2 bathrooms were a plus and the full kitchen ended up being something we used alot for just a night. We had gone out for a large lunch and ended up stopping to buy snacks for just staying in and having the kitchen worked so well! We loved the extra large balcony. There's a really nice deli around the corner where we had a delicious breakfast the next morning before hitting the road. It was a great place to stay for a "girls" night away and we look forward to booking there for next year!
“Best for the price downtown Palm Springs”
Older hotel very confortable with 1 bedroom, living room kitchen and dining area. Within walking distance to everyting. Friendly staff and good housekeeping. This is one of our favorite place to stay in Palm Springs
“Why two stars?”
We were gotten much more than expected. This is not a hotel room, but a big one-bedroom apartment with two bathrooms. The furniture are old enough to be replaced one day, but everything was comfortable and convenient. All kitchen stuff also exists. Location is the best. For the price, this hotel is just a excellent choice!
“Great locale with underground secure parking”
The resort itself was kept up very well with nice landscaping and an extremely friendly professional staff. Housekeeping had additional pillow and towels delivered to our room within 20 minutes. Kitch and fridge were very clean. Although there are pots, plates, glasses and utensils available, don't forget your skillet to cook up those eggs for breakfast. Parking is very limited close to the Palm Canyon area, so it worked out great that the resort offers secured gated underground parking. The resort is walking distance to eateries, the Palm Canyon strip, conveinence store and the Spa Casino. The unit is roomy with a walk in closet. It offers both a shower & tub. The large patio was a plus. We would definitely stay there again. Although there is a master bedroom, just know that the pull out sofa bed may not be very comfortable as an extra bed. I was there for a softbal tournament. The location was about 7 min to DeMuth Park.
“Marquis Hotel”
The hotel is 2 blocks from downtown. The room is very large with a full kitchen, dining area, and fireplace. The only criticism is that the TVs are older and small.
“Excellent Palm Springs Get Away”
The Marquis Villa Resorts are Awesome! We forgot a map and the address, but we were able to ask a local hotel where the place was. We found it and had a great time!!!!!! We will return for sure! Nice, clean, huge place, tennis courts and right near town for great night life! Great deli right by the resort.
“Wonderful, can't wait to go back.”
We viewed this hotel last year while in Palm Springs. It is a 1980's hotel, so a little dated, but the rooms are remodled. The hotel has spacious condos that are beautiful. Tile floors, nice short carpet, and comfortable furnature! Our friends came out for the weekend and they wondered why the hotel was not full. Perfect place to stay, close to downtown restaurants, casino, and street fair on thursday night. The pool was clean, workout room very clean and equipment worked great. WE were there in Jan and the weather was 70-75. Perfect for golf and laying by the pool. The sun is hot but when it goes down at night, it is cool enough for a jacket.
“Great Time”
We had a great vacation at the Marquis Villas & enjoyed the spacious rooms with full kitchen & room to move around. Not the most modern rooms but very clean & a wonderful location to downtown Palm Springs. The staff was very friendly & made you feel welcome. Will definitely stay there again. The pool area was really nice & plenty of seating.
