“would consider going back”
hotel clean and freindly staff helpful although their were hidden extras at a charge which we feel should have been included with the room but an excelent stay
“Ideal hotel”
We were thoroughly satisfied with the hotel. The location is superb for Coral Bay, all the facilities including the pool[s] and gym were excellent and the food was perfectly decent for a trip when we were eating out most of the time. I'd recommend it.
“Very appealing to the eye”
Hotel was very clean and all staff were politd and friendly. Only critism was that the breakfast food was not particularly hot and the beds were very hard. But it would not put me off staying there again.
“Nice family hotel in a good location”
It's a shame that you cannot use the fridge to keep you water bottles cool unless you buy them from the minibar. Also you have to pay to use the safe. There is no security if you want to leave your luggage in the left luggage room, as the room is not managed, you have to leave your luggage at your own risk. Breakfast is generally ok, but some of the danishes and hash brown were as hard as rock!
“Really great hotel & location”
The Crown Resorts hotel exceeded our expectations, it was a fab location right near the beach and all of Coral Bay's bars and resturants. The pool was gorgeous and our room was more than comfortable.I did find that the staff in the hotel were not that helpful or polite though. We were not all inclusive which made drinks etc very expensive in the hotel, but we preferred to eat out everyday rather than be stuck in the hotel. All the restaurants in the area (and I think all of Cyprus) were VERY expensive so dont go here if you just want a cheap last minute holiday. The Coral Bay area is fantastic for families/couples as its lively but not overwhelming and has some great bars and restaurants. Also Paphos Harbour is only a 20minute bus ride away which is nice to go for the evening and we also went on a boat trip for the day from the harbour. Buses run regularly and are cheap so it is worth using these as cabs are expensive. Would definatly go back to both hotel and location.
“Good Hotel in excellent location.”
The in house entertainment and "sports" activites are poor but service,cleanliness and staff are very good.
“Pleasantly surprised”
I stayed at the Horizon while attending a professional conference in Paphos, and was nervous about staying in such a tourist-dominated area. But the Horizon turned out to be a pleasant surprise - the building is almost brand new, the lobby and room were first-class, and service levels were very high. Breakfast (7am-10am) was great, and the bar was open till 1am every night. The bar prices for drinks and snacks were a bit high, but everything in Cyprus seemed to be just a bit more expensive than you'd reasonably think it should be (especially now they've adopted the euro). The Horizon is conveniently located for both the Coral Bay's main street (bars, restaurants, etc) and the Coral Bay beach a few hundred meters away. It seemed like a nice place to base a vacation.
“Would recommend but read comment”
The hotel is very nice and well located. I found the food dissapointing and would prefer BB only. Mini bar service is expensive and inflexible. I cannot believe the room tea coffee ervice. Facilities are available in the room but you have to pay after your first day.
