“One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in!!”
The Acadamie was a fabulous hotel. It is typically French, with such a lot of charm. Every room is delightful. My family had three rooms and each had its own individual persona. We were all delighted with the decor and the cleanliness of every part of the hotel. The staff were charming and extremely helpful. We can't wait to visit again.
“Hotel Staff made the vacation wonderful even with our lost luggage.”
So how do I begin. My wife and I traveled to Paris during Christmas Break 2010 and the Paris airport cancelled all flights. We made it to Paris via train and found the Hotel. They did not have the room we booked and upgraded us to the next size. It was fantastic. The staff were understanding and helpful as the airport lost all of our luggage. They helped us with any questions and best locations to get clothes and food. They even guided us to the landmarks....we must have gone through about 5 maps as they became worn during our travels. The hotel was fantastic and it felt more home than an actual hotel. All and all --> it is the staff that makes this a best choice. Oh and near Metro, buses and central to all locations and hotspots in Paris. We originally was going to book next to the Eiffel Tower and am glad we chose a more central location. Will recommend to all friends and anyone who travels to Paris.
“Academie Hotel Saint Germain”
This hotel was perfect for us. The staff was great. The location was in an easy to get around to other parts of Paris location. There is a little grocerystore down the road towards the Louvre that was excellent. The lovey mademoiselle there has a wonderfully witty personality and helped us out with snacks for our room.
“Great staff and location”
The hotel was located in a geat area, walking distance to many coffee places and restaurants. The staff is great and the rooms are very clean. I would definetly go back!
“Lovely Parisian Hotel on the Left Bank”
This hotel is short walk away from the Paris - St - Germain metro stop. It is so centrally located that you can be at the Louvre or the Musee D'Orsay in around 10 minutes. The rooms aren't enormous and neither is the bathroom, but they were beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast is slightly overpriced but the staff are very warm and welcoming. I would highly recommend this hotel - I have stayed there twice now and have thoroughly enjoyed both times!
“Comfort and location”
Very nice small hotel. Comfortable room. Near St Germain and the wide selection of cafes and restaurants. Excellent location for walking along Seine or across to Louvre etc. Pleasant staff helped with airport transportation etc. Excellent breakfast.
“Great location”
Great hotel in a fantastic location-- quick walk to the Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, and the Latin Quarter. One night we even walked 1/2 hour home from the Eiffel tower. Safe, upscale neighborhood near lots of fancy shops and mid-range priced restaurants. A few blocks from two different subways (St. Germaine and Rue de Bac). Free internet access in the lounge area (though you might have to wait until the computer is free). The room is air-conditioned, which can be hard to find in a mid-range priced hotel in Paris. Very nice, helpful staff with excellent English skills. Two issues: 1) No 'do not disturb' sign was available, so we had to personally shoo away room service a couple of times when we slept in late, though the people from room service were always very nice about it 2) There was frequently a lack of hot water in the shower-- only about 1/3 of the time were we able to take a hot shower when we wanted it
“Loved our Paris experience”
Upon arrival we were given the option to upgrade to a superior room to include breakfast for a small fee. We opted to do this and were very pleased we did. Room was very comfortable and we enjoyed breakfast each morning before heading out each day. The Staff was extremely helpful and very accommodating. We loved the location, very central to everything. We were happy there was a monoprix store close by to buy snacks and drinks. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and would reccommend to anyone. Just remember to keep your expectations realistic, as paris hotel rooms are small and buildings are older. This is a very parisian experience, which was exactly what we wanted.
“A Perfect Little Gem”
We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in September. We were lucky enough to get a room on the top floor so that it had a balcony and a small skylight in the bathroom. The bedroom itself was not large, but with the balcony and the large bathroom it felt like plenty. Because we were on the top floor, the roof in the bathroom was sloping steeply and you had to bathe sitting down. For us it added to the fun, but it could annoy some...likewise for the bidet... :)
“Amazing Hotel in a Wonderful Location”
A terrific, little, quaint hotel that was perfect for our stay. The room was a bit small, but was uniquely furnished. The bed was extremely comfortable making it a very enjoyable stay. The best thing about the hotel, however, was its location. It was absolutely perfect to be in a great neighborhood with easy access to the metro and short walking distance to many museums, sites, parks, and great restaurants. If the small room will not bother you, this is a wonderful option to stay in Paris.
