“Clean, Affordable, Great Location. Cant wait to go back!”
Acte V was an exceptional hotel and one of the best hotel experiences while travelling abroad that we have ever had. The front desk was kind, helpful, informative and always responsible. The hotel was impeccably clean at all times. We enjoyed the daily housekeeping, the comfortable bed, the large tub in our bathroom and the amazin two large window balconys facing the street. The windows were wonderful to keep out the street noise. We also had an AC unit in our room and the hotel has an elevator which are both very important. The location is by far the best part of the hotel. It is located between two main metro lines and the street has everything you need from two Patisseries, a market, several tabacs and close to walk to St. Germains greatest hot spots. I would highly recommend the hotel for all of the above reasons and also the reasonable and affordable prices for their rooms.
“A nice hotel in Paris”
Great location and incredibly helpful staff made it a great base for a wonderful week in Paris.
“Fantastic Hotel”
We stayed here for 4 nights and thoroughly recomend this hotel. The location was excellent - close to metro stations and also perfect for exploring Paris by foot. The neighbourhood is excellent with a good selection of bars, restaurants and patiseries! The staff were very helpful and spoke good English. The room was a good base for our stay - comfortable bed, ensuit, and cleaned every day. The one and only slightly negative comment is that the hotel is on a busy street and so if you open the windows it did become a little noisey (double glazing kept the room perfectly quite when windows closed) - the room did have air conditioning. We would definately stay here again if we go back to Paris.
“So convenient!”
I think two features stands out for Acte V: location and cleanliness Location: - 20 minute walk (easy stroll) to Ile de la Cite and the heart of Paris - 2 great Metro stops to choose from: Place Monge is 1 minute walk from hotel (line 7, which will take you to such places as Pont Marie, Rue de Rivoli, Chatelet (the major change hub), Pont Neuf, Louvre, and Opera ... which encompasses a major chunk of shopping and touristy spots) and 3 minute walk to Cardinal Lemoine (Line 9, which is useful because it takes you to ecchange hub like Odeon and Gare d'Austerlitz) - Lovely neighbourhood (not too busy or loud, situated in the middle of the Latin Quarter, surrounded by your typical Haussmann architecture, we felt very safe while there). - 2 bakeries and a cafe at the intersection of Rue Monge and Cardinal Lemoine (@ the metro entrance). Our favorite was the La Parisienne Cleanliness: - things do look old but clean - slight odour from the shower curtain (my nose is ultrasensitive) but acceptable Final tidbits: - We stayed on the 6th floor facing the street, not noisy at all. Good view of the street below. - air-con: works very well, even in 35 degree Celsius heat, make sure you let the staff adjust it for you. - Get the Paris Visite pass (unlimited metro/RER/bus) for 1, 3, or 5 days, either zones 1-3 or 1-6 (includes Versailles) and Paris Museum pass if you are a museum nerd like me
“Great Service”
Excellent value for the price. Negatives: tiny elevator, small room, no bidet, but that's just Paris hotels. Get a room with a bath tub. Extremely close to Metro stations and easy walking distance to many famous sites.
“Wonderful Experience”
This hotel was a true gem! The people at the front desk were very nice, and spoke excellent english. The rooms were clean and comfortable. A nice, little lounge is adjacent to the front lobby for a nightcap should you wish it. It's a lovely walk to Notre Dame (10 minutes) and the Louvre (20 minutes) from the hotel; or, a subway stop is located around the corner from the hotel. Should you wish to see the sites quickly, tour buses frequent Notre Dame and go to all the local attractions (about 2 hour tour, and for one daily rate you can get on and off as much as you like). However, taxis are everywhere and quite affordable. The neighborhood seemed safe (we walked during day and night), and there are many close places to eat (including a great pastry/bakery shop). I fully expect to return to this hotel!
“Best hotel we have stayed in Paris”
We will definitely be back. The staff were great and the situation of the hotel was just ideal, right in the middle of things within walking distance. Just a few yards from the Metro and just a few yards from several restaurants and bars. No noise, and we were helped with the right French words to say. We will be back there, no doubty with more of Paris to explore. Try the Jardin le Plantes and the Jardin de Luxembourg as well as the Pantheon. Only 15 minute walk to Notre Dame.
“Great hotel”
Hotel was everything we expected and more. Amazing staff, very clean room. and a great location.
“Would always go back”
Excelent hotel , friendly and helpfull staff, very convenient location, well connected, close to Metro station. Well maintened, clean room, comfortable bed, safe neighborhood. Bathroom is of a normal size , and has all it is needed for comfortable stay. Plenty of hot water. A bit small elevator, but manageable . Would always stay again.
“good experience”
good&nice hotel, near to city center (3 metro stops), 1 carrefour ministore and 1 franprix very near. small room(standard 34), good sound isolation from the street, not so good between rooms. very clean, small lcd tv, minibar in the room. nice and safe area around the only small downside: elevator.
