“4-star location at 3-star price (but a 3-star hotel)”
Positive feedback from other Expedia travelers is spot-on. The hotel is at an AWESOME, centrally-located location which is essential for new and returning visitors. If you're used to Marriott's, Hyatt's and Hilton's, be aware that in this district and in Paris in-general, this hotel is as good as it gets. Staff is knowledgable and genuinely helpful, hotel is old-Victorian France (but does NOT smell old), had much character. Complaints of small rooms and tiny lifts are petty... the hotel is adequate except if you plan on spending much time in the room. AC (a luxury in France) works great but always test it FIRST! Clean, reasonably-priced and centrally-located... definitely would stay here again.
“Great Hotel in an ideal location”
This Hotel was a delight , check in/out was swift and the reception team vey efficient (except when identifying the nearest Metro station to the Lido!) The room had everything you could want and the Hotel was in immaculate order and very clean. It is in a good area for exploring on foot.
“Near Great Shops and safe area”
Very friendly english speaking staff. Nice to have free internet in the lounge and kettle with tea and coffee in the room. 20 mins walk to Champs Elysee but a lovely walk. In good safe area. 3 mins walk to Rue Du Faubourg which has the best shops I felt in Paris all the top designer shops a sort of Bond Street in Paris and better than shops on Champs E. Took hotel tour of Paris for 53 euros, was a nice tour and only 8 people in a small vehicle so was more personal than the hop on hop off tours. Room was small but fine and who wants to be in their room when in Paris! Free room safe. We were on 5th floor and was very quiet. Lift is tiny! Area was so nice would def stay again. Suggest you go out for breakfast as lovely cake shops around.
“Wiil stay here again”
Very attractive hotel, comfortable room, very helpful staff. Good buffet breakfast. Very well placed for all the sights. Only complaint TV had only CNN in English.
“Excellent little hotel.”
Excellent little antiquish hotel. Very clean and not overly priced compared to other hotels of similar quality in Paris. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is not overly lavish but the rooms are larger than most Paris hotels. It is also very centrally and conveniently located. It is the one we always rebook when we come to Paris.
“Nice Hotel in a great location”
If you want to visit Paris and stay in a good hotel, try Amarante Beau Manoir. It's situated in the "very Parisienne" Opera District and is within walking distance of all the top attractions in the city. The hotel is homely, not too big, nor too small and the staff are very friendly. I'll go back.
“Great location to be in when in Paris”
The location is all walking distance to all the great sites of Paris. Our de luxe room is small as expected in all France hotels. The hotel is surrounded with tons of restaurants within 2-3 blocks of it. There is one particualr Asian restaurant that has Vietnamese, Thai and Chinese food. It's called Montasie Sarl. Great price and great food. They offer 3 course meal for just $18.50 Euros. The metro station is just 2 blocks down. We would not mind staying there again.
“Nice hotel tucked in a posh block”
Hotel was very clean and room was larger then expected after reading other reviews. Maid did walk in on two different days without knocking, but she was more embarrassed then us... (it seems they don't knock 1st in europe)
“Just what I expected...”
We went to Paris for a short break and we loved it. This hotel was superb. It is not exceptionally busy, the rooms are clean, facilities were more than adequate and the location is excellent; in the city center, next to a big metro station and within walking distance of several tourist attractions. Our French was not great so the hotel staff spoke English to make it easier for us, which was nice. If I ever go back to Paris I will definitely consider staying here again. Wonderful!
“Old World Charm”
The hotel is situated in a very clean area of Paris. La Place De La Madeleine. Not to far the Opera Garnier and around the corner from some wonderful restaurants! The hotel staff are very accomodating but, the only complaint I have is that you have to ask for face towels. The maids do not provide them when they clean the room! When they reomove them the next day after usage, you have to ask a again. Bathrooms have been renovated and are exquisite yellow granite! Petit Dejeuner is offered, but it is $20 euros per day! If you find this pricey, you can go to a cafe near by and have petit dejeuner for a lot less and just as good. Also, if you have wi-fi it is expensive ($18 euros per day) to be wireless. The hotel has a complimentary computer you can use in the salon just to left of the main entrance Old world charm with modern conveniences! I would definitely stay there again!
