“Definately recommended”
The location of the hotel was great - close to the Louvre, on the backside of the Palais Royal. There are some good restaurants along back ally behind the hotel. Centrally located to all of the sites and near the Metro too. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bathroom was clean and the towels were big and fluffy. Nice quality boutique hotel. Ask for a room on the backside of the hotel - street side would be noisier. I can't compare to anything else in Paris but the room size seemed quite adequate for the price paid. Nice to have wireless internet service too. I would definately recommend this hotel.
“Will definitely go back”
This hotel was in a great location. Just a few mintues walk to the Louvre, in a nice nieghborhood. The hotel staff was very helpful. The lobby was very nice. Our room was a decent size as we came to find out. We actually came in a day early to Paris and booked this hotel, but we had reservations for the rest of our stay at another Opera chain hotel (also close by) and we could barely walk inside of that one. We wished we would have had our reservations at this hotel for the rest of our stay. Next time.
“Great location”
The Washington Opera Hotel is tucked away just blocks from the Louvre and other great attractions. It's central location makes it easy to walk to many of Paris' great attractions. The rooms are clean and nicely appointed. Don't be fooled by the hotel breakfast! While convenient, they charge 13 euros per person per day which adds up quickly and doesn't compare to what can be found at any number of nearby cafes!
“Terrific hotel, great location.”
Great location in the heart of Paris. Rooms beautifully and tastefully appointed, comfortable and clean. Staff helpful. Close to a number of good restaurants and within walking distance of the Marais, Les Halles, Blvd Hausman and the Louvre, Opera Garnier, and the best fancy shopping areas.
“wonderful wonderful wonderful”
location - perfect reception people - excellent english, very educated, very helpful room - pleasurable atmosphere in red colors, nice pictures on the walls, EXCELLENT bed, right space, clean and silent breakfast: you sit at a table and they bring you a basket of breads, cheese, ham, butter, drinks - I liked this very much. It's a mess when many people dance around the buffet table. Costs extra 10 or something euro INTERNET: this was a total disappointment, making money on wi-fi is such a Medieval mentality.. ((
“The perfect small hotel”
This hotel is ideally located within easy walking distance to all of your major museums and Paris attractions and the metro stop is only a few hundred meters from the hotel. The hotel is clean and quiet only 5 rooms per floor(total 36) we rarely saw other guests, even though the hotel was fully booked. The staff was helpful with directions etc. But this is a hotel for the self sufficent traveller. There is no doorman, bellman, cafe(except for petit dejuner), or concierge. The lobby is small by US standards but comfortable and well appointed. If you want a centrally located small hotel that is well maintained, very clean, great value with a ploite and helpful staff this place is for you.
“Amazing must do experience, very rare in Paris!”
The best location ever, only one block away from the Louvre but the staff is out of this world, the nicest, most professional and genuinely lovely if not adorable people in the hotel industry, I have stayed in the most luxurious and expensive hotels in Paris but these people are miles ahead, I was so impressed I not only extended my stay but booked a few more nights for my return trip from Brussels... Big rooms, all facilities (except coffee and tea making facilities), extra clean beds, changed every single day and designer toiletries Roger & Gallet, nice bathtub, stayed in room 305 with great double 2 door panel balcony doors looking directly on to rue de Richelieu from where I could see the Louvre and the amazing Moliere sculpture... I cannot praise this hotel enough!!!! Amazing!
“Nice hotel---noisy street”
Very convenient hotel and nice hotel staff. Front desk personnel and cleaning staff all were excellent. Many eateries/pastry shops close by. Convenient to the Louvre, Opera House and high end shopping, but something for every budget. Room was very nice, but Air Conditioning controls did not seem to control temp of room. Stayed in room 205 (open to the street) and was very noisy at all hours by traffic. Internet was convenient. Other than small probs, it was a very nice hotel----would recommend.
“Great staff, great location, pretty hotel”
Staff was friendly and most spoke at least some English and assisted with my stumbling French. Hotel is in a fabulous area: two blocks from the Louvre & Opera House. We were in top floor suite, and even at that, the mattress was soft and skimpy. Pillows were mush. Couldn't control the air/heat, so though it was cold, our room was so hot we couldn't sleep comfortably. Kept getting up to open the windows for a while. Other than not sleeping, hotel is beautiful. Lovely parlor room downstairs. Fairly quiet.
“Dragan - Paris Golden Tulip”
Located just around a corner from Royal Palace and Luvre. Nice. Not far from most of major attraction. Small and clean.
