“Thoroughly Enjoyed Stay”
After reading the comments before booking this hotel, we decided to give it a chance and i can honestly say i was impressed. The staff were friendly and helpful, with everything and anything we asked. The room was clean and tidy when we arrived, and the bed sheets and towels were changed daily. Yes the room was small having chosen the twin bed room, but it was sufficient for our needs, bathroom was clean and tidy also. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay. We were able to walk to the Eiffel Tower and nearest metro within 15 minutes. Restaurants, souvenir shops, super markets all within 5 minutes walking distance. Can honestly say if i returned to Paris again, would return here!!
“Excellent low-cost option in wonderful area”
I was thrilled to find this hotel in the 7th arrondissement in Paris. This hotel is in a wonderul area close to the Eiffel Tower and Rue Cler. The neighborhood is quiet,, has many shops and restaurants, and is not overridden with tourists. The hotel itself is definitely a no-frills experience, but for the reasonable price and location it is worth it. The room is quite small, but it was exceptionally clean and the bed was comfortable. The room we were in had new wood laminate flooring, which is much nicer than many hotel rooms with dirty stained carpet. The bathroom was small, although I believe that is to be expected in Paris. The staff was friendly and spoke English very well. If you aren't looking to spend a lot of time in your hotel room while in Paris, this is an excellent option.
“Hotel Amelie Paris, June 2010”
I found out on very short notice that I would have a week in Paris, so I looked for a place that would be convienent, good location and inexpensive. Hotel Amelie reviews were good so I booked for 7 nights. The people who worked at the front desk were great, in particular, Anita and Ibrahim. My room was very small, but very clean and the bathroom was recently updated with all new fixtures, although small. No elevator so be prepared to drag you bag up the stairs, also no A/C or fam. A few nights were very warm which made for difficult sleeping especially the night there was a loud party in the neighborhood. Breakfast was simple but good and as I was traveling by myself, I met some great people while eating. Overall , I really enjoyed my stay and at a very reasonable rate, in the 7th, right around the corner from Rue Cler, a great place.to know about. I will definitely think about staying there again and I would also recommend to folks who are on a budget.
“Quaint hotel was perfect.”
The hotel was perfect for my son and I to lay our heads after a busy sightseeing day. Staff very friendly and the room though small was comfortable with our own bathroom and shower.. Several minutes from the Metro which was wonderfully convenient. And five minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. Bakery just around the corner for breakfast. Would definately recommend to fellow travelers on a budget.
“A good choice to visit Paris”
Convenient location: 15 min walk to the Tour Eiffel, and 10 minutes walk to the Invalides, Rodin Museum, Grand Palais, Champs Elisees. Less than 10 minutes walk to the metro: Invalides (metro & intercity railway RER) Surrounded by local shops and bakeries... Quiet area Good value for money A hotel with the basics and clean Kind staff & English spoken
“Brilliant and good value hotel”
Lovely hotel. Very convenient. Friendly staff. Comfortable room. Long walk upstairs at the end of the day! But worth it. they even kept our bag until late afternoon on the day we checked out.
“BEST Price-Perforamce!!!”
Best price-performance hotel. Great price, excellent location. Rooms are very small, very basic, clean, with no elevator. Carrying your luggage through the narrow stairs can be hard, especially if you suck at packing like me. Located 5 min walk of Eiffel Tower, which can be seen one block away. 3 min walk Metro station. Few blocks from the river (great walk!). Walking distance Champs Elysse. Reception people are great. Made every effort to speak English or Spanish (depending on who was at the desk). Went the extra mile when I asked about museum passes, trains, buses, etc. Took care of our bags the day we left after chek out.
“Cozy in the heart of the 7th arr.”
A cozy little place about 2 blocks from the Invalides. Walking distance to the Eiffel tower, Champs Elysee and Place de la Concord. Neighborhood is safe, but a bit noisier than expected. Rooms are small, but the beds are reasonably comfortable and the space sufficient for two. The best part of the place is the front desk staff, all whom go out of their way to make sure your stay in Paris is comfortable. Pros: Location, Desk staff Cons: Wifi only works in lobby. This is a two star hotel, but I would definitely stay again.
“Good Location, clean and neat”
I enjoyed staying at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. The location is excellent - only a short walk to the Eiffel tower. The only downside would be no stairs and I was on the fourth floor (the top floor). It wasn't too much of a hassle and well worth it for the location and price.
“Hotel Amelie”
Hotel Amelie was affordable and wonderfully located - just a 5-10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower! Our twin room was small but not uncomfortably so. The staff were all very friendly and useful - arranging an affordably shuttle bus to the airport for us. I would stay here again and reccommend to others.
