“Great little budget hotel”
Loved the Hotel Cervantes. It is small but it is modern, clean, and centrally located in a safe neighborhood within walking distance to many of the sights of Paris. The Rome metro stop is just a block away. My room was tiny but I had my own bathroom. There were two elevators and the hotel had free internet access in the lobby and a very nice free continental breakfast. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.
“Great Paris Hotel”
A family of six--two triple rooms for six days. Quite happy with the accomodations. Very clean--great breakfast--friendly staff. Only complaint would be mattress on third bed ( roll-out bed) not so comfortable. Ice machine broke. Minor details. Would definitely recommend.
“Good Value for Money Great Location”
My husband and I spent 2 nights 3 days in Paris and wanted a hotel that was centrally located, clean and comfortable, but not pricey. Hotel Cervantes was just that. The rooms were small and quaint but tastefully decorated and adequate. The front desk staff spoke english and assisted us with dinner reservations and a couple of other outings. the hotel has a breakfast buffet with hot items such as susage and eggs that at the time was incuded in the price. The Rome metro station is a couple of blocks aways (really a short walk) as well as a grocery store that has the major food items you may require. There are restuarants and cafes also along the main road. A very nice park about 5-5 blocks away on the major road and one of the tour bus stops is about 5 blocks away. As long as you don't mind a little walking you can safe yourself from taxi fare.
“Paris' Best Kept Secret Hotel”
I have stayed at the Hotel Cervantes twice. The first time was about a year and a half ago and I travelled with someone. I stayed there again for Christmas 2008. I was alone. Here are the reasons why I love this hotel: Location, location, location! It is a block from the Rome Metro stop (the 2 line) - so very convenient. The metro stop Charles DeGaul Etoile is on the 2 line. When coming from the airport, you can catch the Air France bus (very cheap) and it leaves you at the Etoile metro stop. You hop on and the Rome stop is just a few stops away on the same line. It is also located in a safe neighborhood. There are a couple of good restaurants on the same block. There is a grocery store close by. It is also within walking distance to the two "grand magasins" - Galleries Lafeyette and Printemps. Also within walking distance to Champs Elysee. Staff - very helpful and friendly - at all hours! Although I do speak some French, they speak English, which helps. Breakfast is included and it is a pretty decent spread. When on a budget in Paris, the included breakfast is great! Computer - they have a computer with internet access availabel for guests to use. Good rates. Caution to certain travellers - the rooms are small. They are tiny. There are no good views. This isn't a fancy hotel. While this doesn't bother me because I spent little time in the room, this is worth mentioning. JD - Albany, New York
“Great Hotel for Paris”
Great hotel in Paris that is right next to the subway.
“Good hotel, unsafe in metro”
The staffs in the hotel are all very helpful, friendly and do speak good English. The hotel situated in good location which there is bus stop & metro nearby, but for 2 girls to walk along the quiet street from station to the hotel, maybe it is a bit too quiet at night. The internet service provided is great, so I can keep online even on holiday though you may have to wait in queue as there is only one computer provided. It is very good for the money you pay for.
“Small but cute”
This was a lovely hotel to stay at and I quite enjoyed it. I had a single room, which though was quite small was pretty efficient and was done in very colorful modern decor. The bathroom was quite tiny and it was quite amusing to use being so small, but worked fine. The room was very clean and nicely laid out so for the little time I was in it, it worked perfect. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful with answers to all kinds of questions. Breakfast was pretty standard French breakfast fare and very tasty. The breakfast room was small and it does get busy during the peak rush around 9am, but if you go a little earlier or later, you can nab a table. Overall, a very lovely hotel and made for a great place to stay. Would definitely go back again.
“Nice Hotel Convenient Location”
I was on a business trip and selected their least expensive room. It was clean, well appointed with a flat screen TV, CD player, and modern bath. They have obviously renovated the hotel recently. The room, although small as expected, was bigger than expected for the price range.
“Lovely hotel”
Lovely hotel. Very modern and clean. The location was great - within walking distance of the Opera area and Montmarte. Rome metro station is a few minutes walk from the hotel. There is a lovely restaurant just up the road from the restaurant which served traditional French food at reasonable prices. The receptionist also recommended a nearby restaurant which was also really nice. The hotel served breakfast and this was included in the rate we paid. I will definitely use this hotel the next time I go to Paris.
“A good deal for Paris”
The hotel is busy with renovations. Everything in my single room was brand new and spotless. The included breakfast is an extra bonus and more than the standard European continental.
