“A great place to stay”
Our stay was only 6 days and would have loved to stay longer at this hotel. They were ready for us and helped us out a great deal with our touring plans. We had a view of the Eiffel Towere from our room just as we requested. The breakfast was an extra plus on some of our busy days. A little spendy but they had everything you could want and all very fresh and well kept. A little grocery store next door was great too. You could walk or metro just about everywhere from this location. Every cornor you could find a cafe, bakery or restaurant. Also ATM's on the cornor. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to go back again.
“Great location--would go back.”
The Bourdonnais is around the corner from a metro stop, food store, bank, and post office. A short walk to the Eiffel Tower. Very comfortable with two teenagers. Very, very clean. Helpful staff. A small fridge in the room saved a lot of money in an expensive city. Hope to return another time and highly recommend staying here.
“Wonderful hotel, wonderful location”
This is a marvelous little hotel, very much what you want a hotel in Paris to be: not one of the chains, fabulous location just steps from several metro stations and a supermarket, and friendly and helpful desk staff. The hotel is two minutes walking from the Champs de Mars garden, five minutes from the Eiffel Tower, and one minute from a square with cafes, shops, and news agents. The rooms were spacious, for Paris, and overlook a garden.
“Excellent location”
The hotel staff were extremely helpful. I asked for a room on the back side and received it. The room was on the small side but bathroom was large. Noise level was nonexistant. Air conditioning is in all rooms and after February 2008-no smoking throughout! Computer is available in downstairs living room area and a nice breakfast is served for 12 Euros. Computer acess was 4Euros for 15 minutes. Fiends had a front room and a view of the Eiffel Tower-said room was very quiet! Easy to get to the Metro and within walking distance of many restaurants and the Tower. We would stay there again.
“Perfectly situated”
This hotel is situated 2 minutes away from the metro station and is easy to find. Our family room was brilliant it was large and had a fridge. The bathroom was clean and modern but the toilet was tucked away in a cubby hole by the main door. OK if you were not expecting someone to come in whilst you were in there as you would get stuck. Very clean although the areas outside the room were in need of a bit of tarting up. I would definitely go back there again.
“Our Third Visit”
This was our third visit. Trying to get a family room (2 adults 2 children) is quite difficult in Paris. We stayed for the first time a few years back and gave returned faithfully ever since. Its a friendly hotel, nothing fancy but rooms are great and the location is fantastic. Also reassuring to see the same faces when we return. The 7th is a great place to stay. Still a touch of real Paris. Rue Cler has a market almost every day and lots of great cafes and restuarants around. Metro on your doorstep and Champ des Mars wonderful for the kids. Cannot fault the hotel. We will certainly return again.
“Reasonable good hotel for fair price”
Hotel is close to Eiffel tower and also close to subway station for easy access to all other Paris attractions/museums
“Will stay there on our next visit to Paris”
We had a wonderful stay - easy access to the Metro, close to Rue Clair for breakfast, near the Eiffel Tower in the "American" district & plenty of nearby Restaurants. The staff was great - helpful, courteous and kind. The bathrooms have been updated (love the towel heater) and the beds were extremely comfortable - the best nights of sleep we had in our whole trip. They honored our request for a balcony with a view of the Eiffel Tower, so it doesn't hurt to ask.
“We love it!”
This is an older hotel, but very close to buses, the metro and the Eiffel Tower. We requested and received a room where we could look out and see most of the tower from our little balcony. It was aout a 10 minute walk to go over. The staff were very nice and always made us feel welcome. Our room was spacious for European standards, 2 double beds, table, tv, dresser and closet. It was not, however, soundproof. We could hear people closing doors and a baby crying next door, but we are used to noise and even slept with the balcony doors open a couple of nights. Overall a great location and very quaint hotel. We will deifinitely go back.
“Felt like home for the whole family”
Close to Eiffel Tower and a stones throw from a great restaurant - La Terrasse. Room was tidy & comfortable, if a little cramped, & en suite was all one could hope for. Breakfast was a bit pricey but all-you-can-eat with excellent coffee & swift service. Staff were friendly - tolerant of our French and conversant in English - making every effort to accommodate our needs. Whisky measures were very generous - wine was cold & sharp.
