“Romantic hotel”
This room was really small, but incredible romantic and everything we were looking for. It was mostly just a small room with a comfortable bed, and a small, clean bathroom with nice products. There was a cute window with a beautiful view of the Eiffel tower and the Paris rooftops. We liked our stay a lot! Didn't eat at the restaurant, but saw it and it looked nice. The neighborhood is excellent too. We stayed in Paris for a week afterward in an apartment and we missed the neighborhood around this hotel!
“Great stay and great location”
My finacee and I stayed here for our anniversary and for New Years celebration. While the room was small by American standards it was quite spacious for European rooms. The staff was excellent and helped out with anything and everything. The rooms were very clean and the overall hotel atmosphere was great. The hotel is amazingly located in a area where you can easily get to the metro. A short walk from a great creperie and a bakery that was out of this world. Also you can take a short 10 minute walk up the hill and end up at Sacre Coeur and look out over the Paris skyline. Very beautiful site. I would recommend this to any couple of all ages.
“Montmartre Hotel”
Great location, very helpful staff and a great experience overall.
“Staff and hotel rate highly”
We just returned from Paris and would rate this hotel very highly. The only reason I gave it lower marks is because the breakfast was subpar--it was very limited and was not replenished each day. The staff (Camilla and Dominique) went out of their way to help us solve a medical situation. The staff also helped with sightseeing questions throughout the week. The hotel, itself, is in a great location--accessibility to three subway lines which we used daily. We also liked the shops and restaurants in Montmartre and Sacre Coeur. We would definitely stay there again. Absolutely no complaints about this hotel (you can check out an iPad from the desk).
“Good hotel deal in Paris.”
Hotel des Arts is extremely clean and quiet. 5 minutes walk from 2 different subway stops, one is an uphill climb while the other is not. Many drug stores, bistro, fruit stores, cheese stores, bakery stores and small grocery stores nearby. Breakfast is good with fresh baguettes, boiled eggs, 2 kinds of cereals, few kinds of cheese, toasts, and few kinds of pastries like croissants and buns. Many flavour of yogurt, and of course coffee and tea. No problem with WIFI, code supplied immediately upon check in. You can also rent out an ipad (first generation) from the desk for 2 hours which was a bonus. There's also a computer for use. We had 2 rooms on the 6th floor at the back, so the view was of Sacre Coeur over rooftops. Rooms in the front will face the street. There are also rooms facing into an inner courtyard, but it's a very small cement square you're looking at, plus other people's windows. The hotel is not air conditioned, but the windows do open. Of course then you will hear the outside noise. The only thing I did not like about this hotel is they do not allow food eating in your room. There's a sign stating eating in room is prohibited for cleaniness reason. Hotel is located a short walk to Sacre Coeur and Moulin Rouge. The area of Moulin Rouge is a bit rough, with lots of sex shops etc. Sacre Coeur neighborhood is much better, with street artists and nicer shops etc. All the sites in downtown Paris are just a subway hop away, and very easy to use.
“Decent place with great value for money”
Friendly, clean and really close to all the bustle and character that the area has to offer. Though a lively area the bedroom itself was quiet and had a great roof top view with the eiffel tower centre stage. Breakfast was fine too. Overall really good value for money.
“First Time Paris”
Very comfortable and pleasant. Good location easy access to Paris centre and sites. Comfort of room marked down because of combed ceiling and no comfy seat. Otherwise very good.
“This was a very nice hotel”
The staff was extremely friendly, and very courteous and the rooms are clean. I felt very comfortable there. The Metro is at most three to four minutes away. I heartily reccomend this hotel.
“This is a wonderful little hotel”
Great location, seconds from restaurants and bars and two Metro stations. Well furnished rooms, lovely breakfast room with a good choice of fresh food. This is certainly the place to stay in Monmatre. The hotel is small and the rooms are not huge - but what it lacks in size it more than makes up for in character, the warmth of welcome and its location. Will definitely be staying here again
“Very enjoyable short break”
My daughter and I visited Paris for a 4 day short break. Hotel in a quaint back street of Montmatre. Close to Metro. Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms small but clean and adequate; bit hot but open shutter style windows and air circulates fine. If you jam safe in room they have override switch at reception.Buy water or drinks to take back to room as no cafe or bar, kettle etc. Luggage room at reception if your flight leaves in the evening. Hotel easy to reach from C de G Airport, catch RER to Gare du Nord then Metro to Abesses (RER ticket includes). Turn right from Abbesses along Rue des Abbessses for 200 metres till reach Rue de Tholoze on right; Cafe on first corner of road and a bank on opposite corner) Moulin de la Gallette visible at top of road. Took half the time minibus transfer did. Walk down to Pigalle down Rue Lepic to the Moulin Rouge. From here in evening can catch Little Train de Montmatre, sort of bus, shaped like train which takes you up Montmatre on 40 min trip with commentary pointing out where the artists lived. Stops at Sacre Coeur for 15 mins. Views spectacular at night and lots going on there. DON'T get caught out by so street artists at top of Montmatre; we were fleeced 40 Euros by old French lethario for line sketch that could have done better myself! But the street artists by the Seine near the Eiffel Tower were doing really good charcoal portraits.
