“One of the best locations in Paris for sight-seein”
One of the best locations in Paris for sight-seeing. The staff was charming and helpful. A few confusions but they were I am pretty sure down to the language, no harm done. I will definitely be making this my new fav hotel in Paris.
“Fabulous Hotel”
I had taken my mother to Paris for her 70th Birthday,I booked Hotel du Louvre due to it's location. The hotel was beautiful, the staff extremely attentive, polite and efficient, the room was very comfortable, my mother slept better than she had in years and wanted to take the bed back with her. The only slight disappointment was the cost of the drinks in the bar Defender, my mother ordered a large whiskey which cost sixty four euro, ridiculous, other than that our stay was faultless and I would both recommend and re visit, the bars and restaurants in teh immediate vicinity were excellent and reasonably priced.
“Loved it!”
My family and I stayed in 2 rooms i nthis Beautifuuly kept Hotel, which is only a 2 or 2.5 km radius to go to every major sightseeing place around...the staff was very informative and friendly. We would definitley reccomend this hotel. The airline lost our luggage and the concierge themselves called for us atleast twice a day to check for the luggage's arrival...very helpful.
“Absolutely lovely”
I have only great things to say about Hotel du Louvre. It is well maintained, the staff are all friendly and extremely helpful when it comes to getting around. The neighborhood is very charming and very chic. I especially loved the Defender Bar with the Jazz musicians on my last night. They were very good and I know my Jazz!! I will definitely stay there again and again.
“awesome, definately worth the money!”
this place is so good. righte next to the du louvre musseum. and round the corner from the tower. a must see if you haven't been. stay at this hotel. its silent in your room but out the door its all going on. perfect for a romantic break away.
“Great hotel, greatest location for museums”
The Hotel De Louvre proved to be very accomodating and a worthwhile expendature of a few extra dollars. They allowed us to check in at 8 a.m., which makes a huge difference due to the flight overseas. I don't think they do this for everyone, and probably not during high season (we stayed over Christmas), but it is definitely worth asking. The concierges are very helpful, and everyone is very nice and welcoming whenever you come into the hotel. Our room was plenty large, but not huge. Probably not what you would expect from a 4 star in the states, but pretty big for Europe. The location could not be better. Outside of our window we looked down to the Opera, and the other direction was the Louvre. Easy access to the metro, and the Louvre. Only complaints were the thermostat was hard to regulate, and the bed was a little firm. Everything else was wonderful!!!
“Perfect location for Paris vacation”
Stayed at Hotel du Louvre for 5day/4night wedding anniversary trip to Paris--perfect location for sightseeing. Used Expedia's Parishuttle service to/from airport--worked fine, drivers spoke English. Hotel staff friendly and helpful; all spoke at least some English, many spoke very good English. Our mid-range room was very clean, maybe 20% smaller than comparable US hotel room, but probably 20% larger than comparable EU room; the bathroom was completely modern/updated. Free wireless internet in room worked fine. Our inner courtyard-facing room only had view of other hotel windows, but it was super-quiet. Always ate in cafes outside hotel, but hotel restaurant looked casual & good. Hotel across street from Louvre museum. Key subway line station is beside hotel. Five minute walk to Expedia voucher pick up office. Little plazas with sidewalk cafes all around hotel. Ten minute walk to Galeries Lafayette (fabulous shopping, views of Eiffel Tower from moderately-priced cafeteria inside), Paris Opera House (amazing), D'Orsay Museum. Leisurely 1-hour walk to Arch de Triumph through Tuileries park and up famous Champs-Elysees, past fashion designer area. Thirty minute walk to Notre Dame, Victor Hugo's house, Picasso Museum, Latin Quarter, Bastille area, etc. All of these walks are through delightful streets with little shops, cafes, etc. Paris subway similar to Washington, DC, or San Francisco. Would stay there again, would recommend to family and friends.
“Small hotel, big on charm!”
If you seek a traditional style hotel in a fabulous location, look no further. The staff is impeccable, willing to assist you and great with helpful information and suggestions. Sitting in front of the Louvre, you can stroll the Tulleries at any hour. Lots of local style eateries as well as Mc Donalds and Starbucks. The hotel sits right next to the very easy to use Metro. Enjoy - it would be nearly impossible not to!
“GREAT HOTEL !”
My daughter and I spent a week here. This is a fabulous hotel. Clean, quiet, with a great staff willing to help with anything. You're literally across the street from the Louvre, steps from the river, and a short walk to Notre Dam. We loved every minute of our stay and can't wait to go back and stay there again.
“just as good the second time”
Exxcellent location....friendly, helpful staff. Stayed there twice and had a great experience both times. Older hotel, so some furnishings are a little worn, but from my perspective a great place to stay
