“I would stay there again”
We had a great time at the hotel. The staff was very friendly. The location of the hotel was great too, just a few blocks away from metro stations, and very close to lots of restaurants and shopping. Some things about the hotel weren't perfect (fridge and phone didn't work), but it was very clean and for the price I cannot complain. I definitely recommend it!
“Very Good!!!!”
The hotel is in a prime location near many metro stops, Monmarte and Opera. There are loads of places to eat nearby and plenty of shops as well. The only slight drawback is that the room didn't have any air con, which made it slightly uncomfortable for the sensitive people! The hotel staff are very nice too!
“Great quality”
Our stay at Hotel Opera Gotty was for three nights. We had three rooms, one with an adult plus two kids, one with one adult and one kid, and one with two adults. Everyone was satisfied with their rooms. They were clean, with large, spacious bathrooms, and all had windows opening either onto the street or into a small, central courtyard. It's a good location, not far from Montmartre, and not too far from the center of the city---just a few Metro stops away. The patisserie/bakery on the corner nearby was very good, and there were many nice restaurants close by. (The continental breakfast offered by the hotel was very expensive, so we skipped it, and ate that the bakery instead, which was great.) The staff were extremely helpful, and friendly, and all spoke good English. A few, minor downsides: the walls are thin, so we could often hear people walking around and talking nearby. There is no free Internet access, though you could pay to get it through Orange. Sometimes, in the middle of the day, there was no hot water, but we never had trouble with a morning shower. Overall I think Hotel Gotty Opera was a great value. If I got the same price I did this time, I'd definitely stay there again.
“good location”
Small rooms, no air conditioning but it's close to the subway and it's in Paris not outside the city. Personnel very helpful and friendly. Lot's of restaurants near the hotel and Metro station. Good option if you only needed to sleep.

“Not to impressed”
Hotel situation good next to Grande Boulevards, In need of updating, breakfast awful but there are some fabulous cafe's just outside. Nothing that special, triple room large and not to bad value for Paris.
“A step back in time”
This is a small hotel with traditional Parisian architecture. The room was adequate for two beds but with three (we were travelling as a family) it was cramped. In fact, we had to move the furniture around in order to be able to open the bathroom door! Decor was a little tired but the room was clean. The hotel was charming which made up for the dated feel and slightly noisy plumbing. It has character which is not something you always find in the big multinational hotels. I wouldn't really reccommend breakfast, preferring instead to visit one of the many (rather expensive) local cafes.
“surely not a 3 star!”
baffled about the state of the room - decor was poor, bed stead was not attached to the bed - room was kinda of porky - no statellite - breakfast was ok not great
“Lovely room and good location, but building site outside the room!”
I picked this hotel on the basis of its location, which was good. The rooms itself was very tidy, clean and smart; it had obvisouly been done up recently. Pretty small though compared to other hotels I have used. However- the communal areas were very messy and looked like a building site. They are also very small- luckily I declined breakfast, but if you do take it, you will be eating in the reception area! Another disappointing point, was that it said that you can pay for internet access, but I happened to be in a room that it did not reach. This is particularly annoying when travelling with work and you want to check emails etc. Overall, I would probably not pick this one again, but I was not hugelgy disappointed as the room itself was perfectly comfortable.
“Adequate & Good Price”
Adequate, good price, location OK, walking distance to Gare du Nord (Eurostar station). We found the hotel staff to be friendly and helpful. The room was small, but clean and adequate. Same for the bathroom. American travelers note: one product is stocked in the bathroom for both body wash and shampoo. Walking distance to Metro stop and Cafes. A pleasant place to stay for those who are out sight seeing or otherwise busy most of the day.
